We are One

The Perfect Example of the Law of Gender

I found the perfect example of the Law of Gender, San Francisco Bay and Manhattan Island, NY.  First of all we need to review the Seventh Universal Law;

The Law of Gender: “Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles”. The last of the seven Universal Laws is evident throughout creation in the so-called opposite sexes found not only in human beings but also in plants, minerals, electrons and magnetic poles to name but a few. Everything and everyone contains both the masculine and feminine elements. Among the outward expressions of Feminine qualities are love, patience, intuition and gentleness and of Masculine qualities are energy, self-reliance, logic and intellect. Know that within every woman lay all the latent qualities of a man and within every man those of a woman. When you know this you will know what it means to be complete.

SF Bay FeminineNature is a perfect example of the varying energies which surround us.  If you look at satellite maps of San Francisco bay you may notice the bay takes on the shape of female anatomy, with a vagina (channel leading into the bay), uterus (bay area around Alcatraz), and fallopian tubes (bay leads both south & north).

The big industries in this area are mostly internet based technologies, creative ventures which embody lots of feminine energy.  After all where do babies come from but the female womb?  We have seen some big births emerging from this area, the Dot Com boom, Silicon Valley, and the Universities which fuel this growth.  But this area is not the only example of gender manifesting in nature.  What about New York City?

NYC - MasculineThe island of Manhattan forms the perfect shape of a penis thus embodying masculine energy.   What are the big industries here?  Finance, commerce, and shipping.  There’s plenty of energy, self-reliance, logic, and intellect here!  Not to say there is no feminine energy here, but overall the land attracts a dominant energy and complimentary industries are born.  And so it is everywhere, just maybe not so obvious.

If you have ever spent time in these places then you will know the energy they embody.  Maybe this is why I love travel so much.  To feel the energy of a city and get to know the land it is found on.  There are no coincidences as to why certain towns are the way they are.  Most of the Spiritual centers around the world are located at altitude.  Take Tibet for instance or Lake Titicaca both over 12,000 ft. in elevation.  Both these locations are Spiritual centers of the Earth.  So what is the moral to this tale, simply that there is Power in Place.  Wherever you find yourself the place will amplify certain energies.  Awareness is the key to enlightenment, the doorway to other realms, and our reason for being!

Place As A State Of Consciousness

The power of place is in the consciousness you hold at the time.  Perhaps you remember the quote, “all the world’s a stage and we are merely players” William Shakespeare, or perhaps the concept of “The Matrix” presented in the movie by the same name?  When you have an experience of say the beach, it is all created in your mind!

I know this seems farfetched to some of you, but to others it will be obvious.  What this comes down to is the state of consciousness you are operating with.  Is Love on your mind or fear?  Prosperity or lack?  We are taught that if we wish to raise our consciousness we need to be in Church or some Holy place and that is simply backwards.

By being in a high state of consciousness the Church or Holy place appears.  It is possible for your entire day to be Holy, whether you are in the supermarket, school, or office!  The state of consciousness you hold will be your experience of that place.

To create this state simply clear your mind and intend the Highest and Best Good in, of, and around you at all times.  Worry is not a choice, hurry is not a choice, Holy is the Only Choice!  Deem every place you go – Holy – as this is the Ultimate reality!

The power of place then becomes the power of Holy Spirit operating in, of, and around you!  Attending church is fuel to this Holy state of consciousness, as is meditation, yoga, prayer, mantras, and a myriad of other spiritual practices.  Even menial labor, exercise, or other repetitive tasks can assist the mind in reaching a Holy state of consciousness.

All it really takes is a pure heart and clear intentions.  Your thoughts are focused on the Highest Good for everyone, not just yourself.  Your experience is centered in Joy, not only yours but everyone’s.  I speak of a feeling that is centered in the heart and comes from your core, not the superficial feeling of happiness that can never last.

With practice and pure intentions the place no longer is important, because your life will be Heaven on Earth!  “A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world.  Everyone you meet is your mirror.”  Ken Keyes

The Power of Place

Have you ever noticed how when you are in a certain place your thoughts, feelings and actions often differ from what they might be somewhere else?  For instance, do you act differently at a professional baseball game than you would at your son’s t-ball game?  How about at church verses at work?

Why do people act differently at a party with their peers than they would at a family gathering?  Does this mean the person has multiple personalities?  Or could this mean that the person is being caught in the flow of energy present in that place?

Notice how you act in certain places and with certain people.  What is going on here?  I believe it is the energy influence in a certain place combined with the other people there that influence your behavior.  It is common to place these feelings on another person or on the place or location.  Psychologists call this Projection and in the psychological sense it is “the tendency to ascribe to another person (or place or situation), feelings, thoughts, or attitudes present in oneself.” (Dictionary.com 2010)  It is quite possible that the place is having an effect on you.  This effect is in combination with other people, and they are being influenced by the place also.  Big crowds are famous for the mass effect or group consciousness that controls large numbers of people.  Riots are often under this influence.

If you walk into a large cathedral of exceptional reputation and beauty you expect peace and quiet.  You would expect reverence.  The expectations are different for a movie theatre or stadium.  Part of the very reason you are attending those events is for the experience of that place!  While this may seem obvious to some, not everyone is aware that the place is influencing your behavior and vice versa.

It does not have to be that way.  Jesus taught to be in the world, and not of it.  What does this mean?  It means that you have a choice everywhere you go whether you allow yourself to be swept up in the experience of a place and how you act in this place.  If two baseball fans get into a fight, you have the choice of getting involved or not.  Even if they strike you, it is still up to you whether you strike back.  Jesus tells us, “To those who strike you on the cheek, offer the other also.”  This I believe is how you be in the world, but not of it.  To strike back is being of it.

Be aware of where you are and embrace this feeling.  Know that the place is influencing your feelings as well as other factors; such as the people there, your thoughts about the place and their thoughts about you and the place.  The ultimate power is in consciousness, because it makes up not only your thoughts and their thoughts but the very place you are experiencing.  Thoughts are things.  The gift here is that you are experiencing yourself consciously – now the choice of what next is yours, really and truly yours!

The Power of Place

I challenge you to notice how your thinking and interests change as you are in different places.  The power of the environment to effect change in your thoughts and behaviors is an important tool for coping in Transition.

It has long been known that who you hang out with is a reflection of who you are.  This is the big reason why your parents worked so hard to get a house in a nice neighborhood with good schools and low crime rates.  The question that keeps coming up for me is which came first, who you are or the environment.  Does the environment reflect you or do you reflect the environment?

I believe the answer is both.  Visualize the neighborhood where you live.  Did it look this way before you moved here?  How do you know?  What has changed since you moved there?  Is it to your liking or otherwise?  Has your thoughts about the neighborhood changed since you moved in? I suggest that the fabric of space and the appearance of your environment are a reflection of your thoughts, so you are experiencing the same space that others experience but in your own way based on your thoughts about it.

Each place you go has its unique energy and when you experience that energy you combine with it to create your unique experience.  So this is what I mean about both came first, the environment and you.  You make the environment and the environment makes you!  The small changes you observe when you go to a place you visited only a month ago or even a moment ago are reflections of your consciousness changing.  These changes validate your thoughts and in doing so they empower the thoughts to become stronger or not depending on what you think about these changes.  The environment is a reflection of you and your thoughts combined with other people’s thoughts or the ripple effect.

To better explain this ripple effect, remember that there is but one mind.  There is no one else!  What you experience as other people’s thoughts is only a ripple of your own thoughts.  The other important thing to understand is that the conscious mind is not aware of all thoughts and in fact 90-95% of thoughts in the average person are unconscious thus supporting this effect of other people.

I hope I have not lost you.  If you are still reading let me transition into the way this works to your advantage.  When you know how a process works you have more control over its operation.  You can visualize the process supporting you.  Things happen to help you grow and experience what you need.

Often people go to the library to study or relax in a place of silence, or go to the mall for the excitement of shopping and seeing many other people.  In this way you cope with your moods and feelings.  You are using the power of place to shape your experience!  Let’s say you are at a bar late at night and you decide to walk home.  Which route you take or if you decide to take a taxi and the thoughts you are having about the trip home will reflect your thoughts and feelings.  If you feel safe you will be and if you take a path that supports that safety.  They work hand in hand.

I believe the key is to be aware of your feelings and thoughts at all times and this is done not only by being in touch with your heart chakra, but by your surroundings.

In Loving Awareness,   Sequoia Elisabeth 🙂
