We are One

The Highest Law

Free Will is the Highest Law in the Land. The Teachings of Ra tell us this though few fully understand the meaning and implications of this.

“The Confederation of Planets in the Service of the Infinite Creator has only one important statement. That statement, my friends, as you know, is ‘All things, all of life, all of the creation is part of one original thought.’ … Let us for a moment consider thought. What is it, my friends, to take thought? What thoughts did you think today? What thoughts were part of the original thought today? In how many of your thoughts did the creation abide? Was love contained? And was service freely given? You are not part of a material universe. You are part of a thought. You are dancing in a ballroom in which there is no material. You are dancing thoughts. You move your body, your mind, and your spirit in somewhat eccentric patterns for you have not completely grasped the concept that you are part of the original thought.” (Law of One, The Teachings of Ra)

The Manifestation of Creation goes like this: Creator, with Infinite Intelligence, and the One Original Thought. 1st Distortion (Spiritual Law or focus) – Free Will. Creator exercises Free Will to coalesce its Infinite Intelligence.

2nd Distortion – Love. Coalescing of Infinite Intelligence created intelligent energy call “Love”.

3rd Distortion – Light. “Love” called Light into being and established energy, mass, time, space, and Logos. Light is the source of physical illusions (aka. Maya).

15.21 Questioner: Well, in yesterday’s material you stated “we offer the Law of One, the solving of paradoxes.” You also mentioned earlier that the first paradox, or the first distortion I meant, was the distortion of free will. Could you tell me if there’s a sequence? Is there a first, second, third, fourth distortion of the Law of One?

Ra: I am Ra. Only up to a very short point. After this point, the many-ness of distortions are equal one to another. The first distortion, free will, finds focus. This is the second distortion known to you as Logos, the Creative Principle or Love. This intelligent energy thus creates a distortion known as Light. From these three distortions come many, many hierarchies of distortions, each having its own paradoxes to be synthesized, no one being more important than another.” (Law of One, The Teachings of Ra)

There is much more to this story, however we are focused on Free Will here. To further explain Distortion think of it as focusing a lens, as it narrows each stage comes into focus. The first distortion is Free Will and with this Love, Light, and Maya come to focus.

The first tendency with Free Will is to think I can do anything I want. This is true, although each choice comes with conditions. We know this all too well, though we had to learn through experience. I think this can be fun, though it can also be scary. Much of what we do is testing our boundaries in a effort to maximize comfort. So while I do have Free Will to choose my actions, thoughts will flow and we must discern which to go with and which to avoid. Imagine thought as a river and you sit on the bank with a fishing pole. You can see and even feel these thoughts as they flow by… kill, hate, love, hug, etc. I am sure you have experienced this flow! We do so constantly. Part of meditation is to close yourself off from this flow of thought and experience the beyond.

Okay, so now you are fishing on the banks of the river Thought… you make a choice and catch a thought to eat healthy food. You then do your research to discover healthy foods, get them, and experience the benefits or costs to this choice. So where are we going here? The point I make is Free Will is a gift that is yours. You can give it away or not. Others can violate your Free Will but only with your permission. (This is done at an unconscious level most of the time.) An example would be pier pressure to eat food which others are eating though it does not conform to your idea of healthy food. Are you using Free Will to violate your own idea (you claimed the thought from the river) or are you allowing others to violate your thought? The outcome is the same if you eat unhealthy food just because you are with friends. Violations can be much more severe, such as imprisonment, physical or mental harm, and death. To Kill another is the greatest violation of Free Will. Perhaps why this is the 1st commandment in the bible. I mention the bible here because wisdom comes from Universal Spiritual Teachings and by this I mean those teachings which stretch across all Spiritual texts. This is one reason why I love The Law of One, it resonates true in almost every aspect. Also because it dives very deep with its teachings. One last point I wish to make here concerning our social conditions right now. The rioting and protesting of these recent months and years serves only to agitate and does nothing to rectify the conditions for which they protest. The answer always lays with Love. There is nothing loving about destroying property or harming other living beings (both a violation of others Free Will). The loving thing to do is to listen and honor others. If you feel your power has been taken away, reclaim it. Do so by giving what you desire away. Say I feel discriminated against for being different in some way (race, age, gender, etc.). The answer is Not to discriminate against others, instead be an example of that which you desire. Embody the principles you treasure! Don’t want to be yelled at? Then don’t yell. We only have control over our own actions and to take offense at someone else’s Free Will is to torture yourself! Live and let Live! Truly understanding Free Will takes time and many lifetimes. Trust you are on the path!

Morality for Pet Keepers

Moral ethical values equate to a person whose morality is reflected in his willingness to do the right thing – even if it is hard or dangerous. Someone doesn’t need to be moral to be ethical. There may be someone who has no moral compass but follows ethics to be in good standing with society. On the other hand, someone can violate ethics all the time because they believe something is morally good. So where does this leave us?

“He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.” (Emmanuel Kant) We all wish to be thought of as a good person and this starts by how we treat others. I have written before about the process of learning to love and just to summarize, we begin by caring for plants, then animals, then people. To be complete here this actually begins with loving the self, so the cycle goes full circle. Since the world is a projection of mind… your mind… what you see is what you are. I know this can seem harsh and you’re questioning its validity. This is a good thing. Don’t take my word or anyone’s as fact. Establish the fact through testing and self inquiry. I will say here, what I share has been tested by many wise individuals over time, so perhaps use this advice as a starting point for exploration.

The focus of this blog is on pets and the keepers of pets. Let’s be clear here, a pet is an animal kept by a person in their own space and for the pleasure of the keeper. “A pet, or companion animal, is an animal kept primarily for a person’s company or entertainment rather than as a working animal, livestock or a laboratory animal. … Pets can give companionship to people who are living alone or elderly adults who do not have adequate social interaction with other people.” (Dictionary.com)

A PET’S TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don’t be angry with me for long and don’t lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don’t understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I’m not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can’t bear to watch. Don’t make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

~Take a moment today to say thanks for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them.

Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without our beloved animal friends.

~We do not have to wait for Heaven, to be surrounded by peace, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth, sitting right beside you!

Obviously these commandments refer to dogs or perhaps cats, though they could also apply to any pet, mammal, reptile, or avian with wide variations in life span. Some reptiles and birds can out live the pet keeper. Notice I do not use the word, owner. We do NOT own our pets, we are custodians and companions. We often pay for this privilege, but this is about our market system and not about owning a living being. I find this concept imperative to good relationships of any kind. Anyone with an animal friend can relate! The Master/Serf concept went out a very long time ago. How you think of your pet will reflect in all your relationships, so be aware.

Now let’s take this to a new level, a Spiritual Perspective, because many of us never consider the spiritual benefit of the pet keeper experience. This may be deep for some, so if you have questions I am happy to assist and I will provide a link to The Law of One (LOO) below. This is a quote from a discussion group I belong to concerning LOO.

“Are pets that have been taken in and nurtured by humans considered second density or third density beings? (2nd Density Growth = biological life, 3rd Density Self-Awareness = The density of choice between service to self or service to others, humanity)

I understand that the criteria for 3D is to become inspirited / self aware, so I’m wondering if pet’s are considered self-aware?

Answer from a member of the group: Ra says that pets are “perhaps” the most common occurrence of second density harvesting to third. (meaning the animal becomes human in the next incarnation) I’m generous and I expand “pet” to mean “any domesticated plant or animal that is being taken care of by a human” – it’s my belief that when we remove an entity from its natural environment, give it a place to live, feed it, choose how/when/ if it reproduces, and love it, then we are individuating that entity from the group mind and projecting a third density awareness, be it rock, flower, or parakeet.

Quote from the book, The Law of One – the teachings of Ra:

19.2 > Questioner: Let’s take the point at which an individualized entity of second density is ready for transition to third. Is this second density being what we would call animal?

Ra: I am Ra. There are three types of second density entities which become, shall we say, inspirited. The first is animal. This is the most predominant. The second is the vegetable, most especially that which you call sound vibration complex “tree”. These entities are capable of giving and receiving enough love to become individualized. The third category is mineral. Occasionally a certain location, place as you may call it, becomes energized to individuality through the love it receives and gives in relationship to a third density entity which is in relationship to it. This is the least common transition.

20.3 > Questioner: So more and more second density entities are making it into third density. Can you give me an example of a second density entity coming into third density, say, in the recent past?

Ra: I am Ra. Perhaps the most common occurrence of second density graduation during third density cycle is the so called pet.

The animal which is exposed to the individualizing influences of the bond between animal and third density entity, this individualization causes a sharp rise in the potential of the second density entity so that upon the cessation of physical complex the mind/body complex does not return unto the undifferentiated consciousness of that species, if you will.

Question from a member of the group: So what I’m understanding is that the domesticated animal / plant would still be in 2nd density however it’s awareness/consciousness has been greatly heightened therefore accelerating it towards 3rd density. But a cat remains in 2D whilst it still has a cat body complex. Or can a cat have a 3D awareness yet a 2D body?

Answer from same member of the group above: A cat absolutely can have 3D awareness in a 2D body. Ra talks fairly extensively about the group’s cat, Gandalf, who was third density harvestable in his previous lifetime but still came back as a cat. Ra also said Gandalf could come back again, as a cat, if he wanted. 2D entities can definitely begin the lessons of 3D.

30.13 > Questioner: I was wondering if the male cat, Gandalf, has benefited by that mechanism in some way or by other mechanisms in increasing spiritual potential or understanding.

Ra: I am Ra. We examine this information and find it harmless. The second density entity, sound vibration Gandalf, is a rare sample of its species due first to previous individualization, secondly due to a great amount of investment in this particular life experience. This is the greatest catalyst in this entity’s progress. It is very unusual, as we have said. However, the experiences of bisexual reproduction which were of the nature of the entity Gandalf were to a small extent of spiritual benefit due to an unusual relationship with another entity, this also what you call a cat. This entity also being of an unusually third density orientation or investment from a previous life experiences. Thus the formation of what could be seen to be recognizably love did exist in this relationship.

Response from Cameron: Perfect, that clears up everything that I was trying to understand. Thank you for taking the time to find and share this.

This all demonstrates the deeper spiritual benefits of Pet keeping. To state it simply, our relationships with our pets boosts both the pets growth as well as the keepers. It is all about service! I will not go into the details of service to self (STS) and service to others (STO) as this discussion would be extensive. They are fairly self explanatory. One is no more “right” than the other, though the STS path is difficult and eventually ends in 6th density where both paths become one in service to the Prime Creator. Think of this however works for you. The important thing is service and respecting Free Will. All crimes of mankind come down to violations of free will. To serve the self often requires these violations, for example, murder is a violation of free will. One is literally removing the others choice to live. This applies equally to pets as it does to people or any living being. Thus the Buddhist (and several others) teaching of respecting all living beings. Violations lead us to judgment and guilt, so I will briefly broach this by saying, Judge not lest ye be judged, or more directly, to judge another is to judge the self because they are yourself. Guilt is a tool of the ego mind (the separated mind). So guilt serves only to divide and cause pain where none is required. These principles are explained in A Course in Miracles (ACIM) and in LOO, so I will not go into them here.

Speaking of Free Will, the topic of domestication needs to be covered. Is it our right to take animals out of nature and keep them as pets? Is this a violation of free will? The answer is not clear, at least to me. Often the animal will have a more comfortable and easy life in domestication. Though the life will not be in harmony with nature and exposes the animal to harms which do not exist otherwise. It can be a great service to the animal to provide your 3D love and attention. Ultimately we each have to answer this question for ourselves. The power of the mind to rationalize anything we choose to do is frightening sometimes. Proceed with caution and with caring. Keep a mindset of Service to Others! (if you have chosen the STS path you would not likely be reading this blog)

Our pets are windows into loving and knowing ourselves. To have a pet is a great privilege, so treat the relationship as such. We serve the pet by caring for it and the pet serves us by sharing love and companionship. This caring can be extended to life itself and takes many forms. Share this love in any way you feel serves both you and others. “It is one of the most beautiful compensations in life, that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

Blessings on your Journey of Love!

Distractions

What is our compulsion with doing? I am sure you can relate. That feeling something must be done! Even if it’s trivial, esp. if it’s trivial! LOL. This underlying urge to create, to do, to be productive consumes us all. Why?

A Course in Miracles explains that its about distracting you from yourself, from the One thing we just cannot face! God. More specifically our separation from God, or the belief we are separate. The answer is simple, we are not separate, never have been, never will be. God is all there is.(period)

So why does this knowledge not help? I have been studying ACIM for 10yrs solid and working up to it for 5 yrs previous. What is my resistance all about? Why am I constantly sabotaging myself? Perhaps this fear runs deeper than I thought. In fact, this fear is totally subconscious and for each of us the sea runs to different depths.

I sit here doing an inventory of my distractions and realized it pretty much all is a distraction. The aquarium hobby, (hobby’s in general), the internet, entertainment – especially, and even eating, drinking, and sleeping. I dream when sleeping and this too is a distraction. My ego is hard at work; it never sleeps. The ego mind is our conscious mind, the part which will not under any circumstance look at the Truth. Not the personality ego, but the ego which defines identity. ACIM describes ego differently than mainstream psychology, FYI.

ACIM teaches we have two choices at all times. Ego (individual identity) or Holy Spirit (our pathway back to God, which we never left, i.e choosing Love [realizing love is all there is]). Every religion has taught this to some extent. We must choose the devil (D evil) or God (Good), wrong or right! This is where other religions depart from ACIM. I speak of duality – the two choices. ACIM points out there really is only One choice since God is all there is how could we choose any thing else? SO it’s not really a choice but a realization. ACIM does not teach Love, but instead teaches us to remove the blocks to our awareness of love. Love is all there is! To clarify I use several words as synonyms for God, mainly these 3, Love, Joy, & Peace. Light also has its uses, but not strictly in place of God. There is another teaching I follow called the Law of One – The Teachings of Ra. They speak of Love/Light and Light/Love, though this is a duality POV, it comes from a place of non-duality. Think time/space and space/time here, opposite yet supporting dimensions.  I digress once again.  Thinking is a distraction too!

I encourage those who are interested to explore ACIM and Law of One further. I will say, be prepared, it will take years to grasp these teachings fully. It is a fun and fulfilling path though. So without any further distraction I will sign off here, knowing that this very blog is a distraction! LOL

Top Ten Spiritual Authors

Here is my list of top Spiritual Authors. I started to do a list of books and then realized there are way too many, so I will list the authors names and review why I like them so much. Creating a list like this is always difficult because invariably someone gets left out. So I encourage you to follow your intuition (gut, heart, etc. just not your head!) The author you most need to read depends on where you are on the path, so don’t take the ranking too seriously. I will list in order of my discovery.

First on the list is Ernest Holmes (Science of Mind). The Centers for Spiritual Living formally known as Religious Science Church sprang up around the teachings of this man. He did the logical thing and looked for the common thread in all the worlds religions and condensed it into his now famous book, Science of Mind. All his books are great and CSL has many other authors worth reading if this resonates with you.

Second on the list is Dr. Deepak Chopra. He has written so many books and most of them are wonderful, although he has become mainstream and a bit new agey. Wisdom is there if you look for it. His books helped me a lot in the beginning of my “Journey of Love”.

Third on the list is Dr. Wayne Dyer. Again he has written so many books with deep wisdom. I find his books are both practical and fun to read. A great place to start a Spiritual exploration.

Fourth on the list is Neale Donald Walsch, Conversations with God series. He is no doubt a master of the English language. A true wordsmith! I love reading from his perspective. These books are truly a gift to mankind!

Fifth on the list is James Twyman, an internationally renowned, best-selling author, filmmaker and musician who has a reputation for traveling to some of the world’s greatest areas of conflict, sharing his message of peace. He founded a contemporary version of the Beloved Community and has many creative works to share on the topic of Spirituality. In 2007 I was Ordained by him as a Spiritual Peacemaker and my life has never been the same. Blessings of Gratitude to him and all Spiritual Peacemakers.

Sixth on the list is Eckhart Tolle. He is famous for the “Power of Now” book published 1997. His teachings have blossomed since then and are well worth exploring. My favorite of his books is “A New Earth”.

Seventh on the list is Stephen Davis, Butterflies Are Free to Fly (free download online). Examines how quantum physics and recent scientific experiments are radically changing our understanding of life, our reality, and our spirituality. A mind blowing book! The part I like most is how it explores identity and who is the “I”.

Eighth on the list is Gary Renard. His books on ACIM (A Course in Miracles) are the best I have found. He explains the principles in a clear and easy to digest manner. There simply is no better teacher of ACIM, although I will mention Kenneth Wapnick who Gary calls the greatest teacher of ACIM ever.

Ninth on the list is The Law of One – 5 book series, The Teachings of Ra. These books are the product of L/L Research and abundant material is available on their website to explain it all. The books are free to download. I will not try to explain it and simply encourage you to read them and find the deep wisdom within.

Tenth on the list is ACIM (A Course in Miracles), the direct channelings of Jesus. This course is pure non-dualism and a bit much for many who are not ready to give up duality. If you feel you are, then by all means do this course and understand this is for the rest of your life! It is not a casual teaching which makes you feel good for a time. It will change your life for good, there is no going back.

Perhaps you will see a trend here as many of these authors teach ACIM to some degree. Know there is no One Truth above all else, there is only that which leads home! All paths lead home and the good news is you cannot fail. Some routes are more “scenic” than others though.

Blessings on your Journey of Love!
