We are One

I am as God created me!

I am as God created me!  So why are you feeling dysphoria?  Why do you think there is something wrong with you?  (too fat, too tall, wrong genitalia, wrong hair color or eye color, etc, etc.)  The imperfections are not of God’s making.  The imperfections and the feelings of incongruence (dysphoria) come from the Ego.  Allow me to explain this world to you.

This physical world we live in here is the creation of the Ego Mind, the aspect of you which believes itself separate from God.  In truth this world is a dream and often it is a dream within a dream!  It does not matter how many ‘echos’ of the One which are created, the point is there is only One and this one is God, the all there is.  If you love movies, theatre, or story-telling then you know dreams… this life you think you are living is no more real than the stories you experience on TV, Movies, Theatre, or a story-telling stage.  What makes it seem so real?  Ego mind!

Adam and Eve are the original Ego story, not that they are real either.  This Ego is an aspect of God which wished to see what separate means and so created a separate world, this world where we sit today, or seem to sit today.  In reality no one has gone anywhere!  We are all still in the loving arms of God, yet asleep and dreaming of life.

As the Course in Miracles states, the dream was but a second or flash and all that is or was or will be happened and we returned to God.  The “reality” we experience now is simply an echo of this dream, thus the dream within a dream…

The next question then is how do we awaken from this dream?  First of all by understanding who “I” is.  These pesky pronouns are very confusing!  I, me, you, us, we, they are simply different aspect of the One.  Please understand there is only ONE.  The delusion is that you are separate from me and that they exist at all!

This probably seems farfetched and from the perspective of the Ego mind it is.  Step back from this perspective and see through the eyes of Holy Spirit, feel through Holy Spirit.  It may take a while so don’t be in a rush.  I have been working in this for years.  The Truth becomes clearer every day though, so I keep the Faith and move forward.  This takes us to the next step, acceptance.

Accept things as they seem (even though we know otherwise).  Imagine you are a character in a movie.  Can that character get out of the movie?  Not hardly; they must play their part to the end.  So why not enjoy your part/role in this elaborate story of life!  It is much better than choosing misery.  Be the best you (whatever your role is at the time) and Shine!

What Is Your Story

We are each on a carousel ride, the same carousel.  The ride goes round and round while we each view and experience things differently.   Even if you are sitting in my lap, you experience it different.  What this boils down to is we each have our own story, the story of our lives.  The part we share is the carousel!

What if you were to take your story and toss it in the trash?  You think it is inseparable?  You are not your story, just as I am not my story.  What makes a story?  Is the story ever complete?  Is it ever over?  Do the stories interconnect?  You know, like a TV series with successive stories, one episode after another?  The characters are the same in each episode, just as they are in your story.  If a character loses a contract they are written out of the story, just as people sometimes leave our lives either by dying or by situation, like divorce or simply moving away.

The stories will interweave as characters cross paths, sometimes staying for a while and sometimes only for a brief smile.  The paths can pass close without touching or they can collide head on!  What does it all mean?

The answer is up to you because there is no meaning until you give it some.  The simple fact is there is no story but the one you create by living your life!  So is your life living your story or your story living your life?  Which came first the chicken or the egg?  Funny how we love that question, or at least I do.

I wrote my gender focused story and published it as part of a larger story of Sex and Sexuality.  It was therapy for me because I did not understand my own story.  I needed to step back and get a bigger picture.  It all seems like a dream to me now, in some ways maybe a nightmare.  None of it seems real anymore, because I have awoken to a different reality and yet I have only awoken within a dream.  A dream within a dream!

Love to hear your story or at least your comments on these thoughts.  Maybe you have shared these thoughts or parts of them.  I love how a million people can see a beautiful vista and see it differently every time!  Maybe your story is more meaningful when it is shared.  Maybe it is not yours till you give it away!

Dream within A Dream

What is your vision?  I listened to a great talk last night by Jean Houston and what I learned is that it is our myth that creates our future.  Without a creative vision for how life can be more enjoyable for all then nothing changes or more accurately our past becomes our future because without new material the movie just repeats!

This is the power of the movies, they provide us with a visual of a possible future or past.  Of course you know the past is no more permanent than the future, right?  Let’s save the time discussion for later.  All movies started as a written story first even if it was just the director doing a story board.  And of course the written story was only an idea to start with.  The process of creation is thoughts, words and action and this is how we get movies and our very lives!

We see movies as fiction and our lives as reality which works for now, but someday this could be a way of creating reality.  We have seen this in the Sci-Fi movies like “Total Recall”, “The 6th Day” and “Star Trek”, I just love the holodeck!  There is a program online now called SecondLife and basically the user constructs their own version of reality and then lives within this reality chatting with friends all over the world, making things, sharing things, flying, teleporting, and all sorts of awesome and fun things.

Does this reality affect our physical reality?  From my experience it most certainly does.  I find it amazing how our worlds are interconnected and by using my imagination in SecondLife gives fuel to changes in my “first” life.  I hesitate to use the word “real” life here since I am not so sure that one life is any more real than the next.

You may have heard the phrase, a dream within a dream, which is the title for a great Edgar Alan Poe poem, but this does describe life pretty well I think.  “The Matrix” movie illustrates this dream within a dream concept nicely too.  So how do we create our lives or is the question, “who is driving this bus?” more appropriate?  Remember that we each create our lives with thought, words and action, so Yes we are driving our own buses!  Another movie that illustrates this nicely is “What Dreams May Come”.  Where we get a glimpse of Heaven and what that is all about.  What would your Heaven look like?  The possibilities are infinite so let go today and dream a little dream within a dream, lol.
