We are One

Meandering Down The Path

Transitions Blog is still meandering down the path.  The chasm has been traversed and we venture on to the next stage of our never ending journey Home.  There is nothing to be done, no place to go, and nothing to see.

Or is there?

This of course is up to you.  It is your choice where your journey takes you, and in fact you make this choice in everything you do or don’t do.  There is no right or wrong choices, only the choices you make.  Whether the choice brings joy or heartache is how you process the information perceived.  Choosing neutral ground is not possible although many of us try.

Inevitably and eventually your actions will harm someone in some way and often this is a repeated experience.  The waves wash both ways and over time we build up a strong barrier which both protects us and traps us.  Courage is required to leap beyond all barriers and venture into unknown territory.  Faith is the ingredient which makes the whole experience possible, otherwise fear and doubt drag you back to the abyss.

I wish you both Courage and Faith in your journey!  May it lead you to precisely where you need to be.  If along the way you have questions or need support you may contact me through this blog or the contract info on the website.  I am open to topic suggestions, especially if you are not finding what you need on the website, Unity in Gender Diversity.

Charity?

Here is an article on Charity from Unity in Gender Diversity website which I share now in light of Hurricane Sandy.  We are all in this together.

What is charity and why is it important, or more to the point – is it important?  Buddha and Jesus practiced a form of charity that can only be described as generosity and agape.  The dictionary defines charity as “generous actions or donations to aid the poor, ill, or helpless, as in something given to a person or persons in need”. The key words here to me are generous and given, but that is contrasted with “in need”. So let’s look at need. The dictionary defines need as a lack of something wanted or deemed necessary, or an urgent want, as of something requisite. Again words jump out and help to further understand this question. The words lack and want present themselves. Are you getting a clearer picture now?  This can be very confusing, so let me go deeper for you. In order for me to do that, I need to share my cosmology or understanding of Universal Law with you.

“There is but one mind, the mind of God and that mind is my mind now!” This quote by Ernest Holmes says it all. There is only one! One mind, one God, one Source, and in order for this one source of all to experience itself fully it chose to individuate or diversify. We are each an individual point or part of the whole. This being true, we are each “made in the image of our creator” or an extension of GOD! We are not separate, not some toy God made to amuse itself and not at God’s mercy. We are God’s Mercy! All that we do is an extension of God. Sort of like agents for GOD. Of course this is merely the surface, but you get the point. Who and what we are can be taken much deeper, but that is beyond the scope of this article. Let’s get back to charity. Now that we know what it is, let’s look at why or if it is important. This question is much trickier.

How do we decide what is important? Does someone else tell us that or do we decide? For the sake of this article let us just say that whatever is important in this world is up to you. Bottom line, nothing is important lest you make it so! I reached this conclusion after much contemplation and meditation, not to mention real life trials and tribulations. So once again why is or is not charity important? This is something that only you can answer, so make up your own mind. (This is why we individuated!) My role here is to share my perspective and hopefully deepen our understanding of this concept, Charity.

The way I see it is we each make choices every day and as we do this one thing leads to another and we experience “that which we create” – our Lives! Life is made up of a combination of choices and fate (choices we made before we were born). Each experience we have is from a choice we made at some point in our eternal journey of Life. It is not up to us to judge these experiences as good or bad, but to simply experience them to the fullest of our capacity. So how does one decide who is “in need”? Who gets to choose your wants or desires? Who decides who is lacking and what they lack? Take your time here as these questions are pivotal to the future of mankind!

I feel that it is our individual decision to make the choice of what we want or desire! Another important concept is the mirror principal, which states that what you see is a reflection of your thoughts! What you see is what you get! OUCH! or Ahh HA!

If you see LACK you are experiencing lack, therefore you are thinking and acting it also! You are creating the very thing you are trying to eliminate!!! NEED! (Because what you see is what you get) This is a paradox of our dualistic world, but it is Universal Law. By providing charity, you are creating the need for charity and thus is the paradox of all life activities here on earth. For example, when you meet a person on the street who is limping with a crutch( see the little Cratchit boy, Tiny Tim), what thoughts go thru your mind? Most use the ego mind which attempts to explain the condition of the person we meet (poor little tiny Tim – feel sorry for him), but I would suggest to you now that the truth is not evident to our human eyes! Consider the possibility that Tiny Tim chose his experience, just for the experience of it. Who are you to judge it as good or bad? The Spirit self or Christ within knows nothing of good or bad, it only is!   Now when we go on a “Charity Trip to an impoverished country” what are we really doing? In my opinion we are attempting to rescue ourselves from false belief. Do we see Christ’s children being the best humans they can or do we see “a poor starved child”? Do we see lack? Or do we see Abundance of Spirit expressing as it chooses? When we see a homeless person sleeping under a tree or begging for money in the subway, what goes through our mind? Is that a choice? Of course a choice has been made, the deeper question is why? I still do not believe that it is up to me to decide for another their experiences. If a person is in harm’s way and I am able to assist them, I will, but only if they ask. If someone asks me for assistance, I will always do what I can! This is the tricky part, giving is receiving and we all enjoy receiving, so why not help everyone? Maybe not everyone needs our help. Maybe our need to be needed is the very problem to start with! Asking if they would like assistance is still assuming that they are needy. I am here to see them as happy, healthy and vibrant; nothing less will do!

So let me recap for you. Charity for the sake of “the poor, the sick or downtrodden” is a self fulfilling prophecy. The giving of Charity to a person who asks is simply put, Agape. This is the Charity Jesus practiced. He saw each person he met as the Christ fully realized and in this was the gift! This is the gift we can give each person we meet! If we see a person as one way or the other that is what you get! So why not see them as the Christ? If they ask for something give it to them, but let’s not go looking for needy people, so that we can feel good about how good we are.  The Buddha said that “If beings knew, as I know, the results of giving & sharing, they would not eat without having given, nor would the stain of selfishness overcome their minds. Even if it were their last bite, their last mouthful, they would not eat without having shared, if there were someone to receive their gift. But because beings do not know, as I know, the results of giving & sharing, they eat without having given. The stain of selfishness overcomes their minds.” Khuddaka Nikaya, Itivuttaka I.26   Life is so simple, easy is up to you!  I think that this is what is meant by the quote, “Be the Peace you desire in this world”. Share of what you have, be kind to others, and see Peace everywhere you go. See beyond the apparent chaos, and the illusion of war. See Peace! Now this is Charity!

What Transitions Blog Is All About

Transitions Blog is dedicated to assisting the Journey of Love called “transition”.  This journey can and does take many forms.  It can be multi-layered and dynamic, and often it is.  It often feels like a wave that picks you up and thrusts you forward.  It can feel outta control and scary, although it also can be fun like an amusement ride also.

The experience will be different every time, and unique to the individual experiencing it even though others are experiencing it with you.  They have their own interpretation and experience which they need to grow.  Yes, transition is ultimately about growth -emotional, physical, and spiritual.  There is no way to go through life with it!

“Transition: movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, etc., to another; change: the transition from adolescence to adulthood.” (Dictionary.com)  There are always others on the journey with you to assist in your passage, whether you see them or not, so take comfort in this fact.  Even if you feel totally alone, you never are!  Ask and ye shall receive.

Unity in Gender Diversity is all about being there with you on the journey, offering techniques to deepen the experience, ways to cope, and smoothing out the ride.  Please read over the website, explore your feelings, and contemplate your “transition”, whether it is physical as in moving to a new place, or emotional as in falling in or out of Love, or Spiritual as in ascending in consciousness!  Yes, it could be all three at the same time!

Gender transition is about all three and often takes years if not an entire lifetime.  The physical is obvious and often takes center stage, esp. at the beginning.  The inner feelings need to express and they do, one way or another.  As the individual comes to terms with this expression they realize it goes deeper than a whimsical adventure.  The emotional shift is then allowed to take place.  This in turn begins the Spiritual shift.

The emotional feelings the person has felt, but denied or suppressed all their life come flooding out, sometimes explosive and sometimes a simple oooz.  Tremendous relief is felt as a balance and harmony is restored to the person’s life.  Like waves on the beach the feelings will come and go, and may never reach a total calm or balance, but then this is life on Earth.

Spiritual transition involves a change in the individual’s perceptions and beliefs or at least a deeper realization of these.  Once again this is often a lifelong journey and yet it can simply be a realization of what already exists.  Transition for most people is about discovering who they are and what can be more Spiritual than that?

Thank you for taking the Journey of Love with Unity in Gender Diversity, may your journey be a Joyous one.

Livin Large

This year of 2012 is the year of coming out and living large!  There is no time like the present, so why not make your dreams be true right now?  You think there is something to lose?  Do you think living someone else’s dream, following their path, or obeying their rules will make you happy or fulfill you in any way?

I am not suggesting that you get in anyone’s business, only that you take care of your own!  YES, take care of yourself.  Listen to your heart (soul) and follow your own compass.  The brain is logical and we have been taught to follow it’s guidance and that has gotten us to where we are now.  What I suggest is to let go of logic and rational thinking, in fact let go of all thinking.  Of course you cannot do this completely…unless you do.

Limits are created by you for you.  They are intended to direct your path and protect you from danger.  What they have become though is a walled off room with no exits.  Even a maze has exits!  Get out the “metaphorical” dynamite and create an exit…  Listen to your heart and you will know what to do.  There are no mistakes, only scenic routes and direct paths.  It is your choice which path you travel.

Unity in Gender Diversity is here to help you in this Journey!  The words of wisdom offered on its pages are intended to motivate, inspire, and guide you to reach for the stars!  Just as this blog does.  If you have not read previous blogs, please look them over and read the ones your heart guides you to read.  Be not afraid, the answer lies within!  Within your heart, within the pictures you see, the words you read, and the feelings you experience.  “Life is simple; easy is up to you!”

Transitions Blog is packed with psychological coping techniques, spiritual principles, and metaphysical musings.  If you have a specific question, please write the author and make it known.  Or simply leave a comment on this blog or another one.

Unity in Gender Diversity wishes you a most Joyous New Year!

Make what you will of it

Second Year Anniversary

It has been over two years now that we have been bringing you Transitions Blog, so to celebrate I am offering one of the first blogs I wrote.  The message is timeless…  What transition are you in right now?  How is it going?  My ministry is focused on raising the awareness of each person I meet or that visits my website.  For those who are aware of the life  journey so much the simpler, richer and more meaningful.

I love to sit and think about how much I adore the people in my life and how much I love a world where Love is the rule and not the exception.  The older I become the deeper this realization becomes.  Life is not about what you see is what you get, but rather what you believe is what you see!

We all want our illusion to match our dream and unfortunately things do not work that way in this world.  It is often difficult to discover the Truth, but rest assured it does exist.  In fact it is the only thing that does exist!  All that we see is an illusion.  I often feel like I live in a house of mirrors with this illusion being reflected in so many different ways.  Part of the journey of change we are all on is to let go of the illusions and get to the Truth.

The simple awareness of your journey and acceptance of your authorship will open many doors.  ACIM (A Course In Miracles) teaches that the ego is the master of illusions and when we feel distant or something is happening to create separation in our lives then the ego is at work.  All that need be done is acknowledge this and laugh to yourself with a calm reserve.  “Resistance is Futile”.

Who Are You?

Identity is an important aspect of human life for several reasons.  It is how we all relate to one another and the world around us, it is how we discover our self, and it is how we discover God.  I am not sure we ever really “know” God, especially in one human lifetime.  Unity in Gender Diversity is a website that celebrates this journey of self discovery from the perspective of one individual.

UGD has two main parts, the Gender Learning Center and the Spiritual Learning Center.  Each explores an important aspect of what I call the Journey of Love, which is really a journey to discover the self, God and all that is.  Along this journey identity changes and evolves to the point where deep insights are discovered.  It really never stops though and when this lifetime ends another one begins and the process is repeated in a slightly different way.  Some say that when you lay down at night you die and are reborn the next day in a slightly different way.  I have this experience often, so maybe I can say I have lived many lifetimes within this one lifetime, maybe we can all say this!

I love the infinite expressions of life that constantly shift and change, but in essence never change.  No matter what you identify with, be it an object, animal, or person, the core essence never changes.  Thus the saying, As much as things change, they stay the same.  Meaning all things are Unified as One in infinite variety.

In essence we are all made of the same thing and this includes everything you can sense around you, the people you meet, the chair you sit on, the food you eat, the stars you see in the sky, the ground you walk upon, everything!  Carl Sagan called it “Star Stuff”, Plato called it “Aether” and Aristotle called it the “Fifth Element”.  (Wikipedia.org)

This knowing can make your life both interesting and fulfilling.  Since all things are of the same source, no harm can really take place.  Things appear to change all the time, the experience is constant change!  This is the way it was meant to be.  This is how the source discovers itself!  All that I am not, leads to what I am.

The Journey then is “notness”.  It is being what you are not so that you can truly experience who you are!  I pray this means something to you, if need be please read over the website and discover who you are not.

Ok, I will spill the beans right here… all that you can see, touch, taste, hear, and smell is NOT who you are.  You are not your pet cat, your favorite Barbie doll, or even your car,  nor are you, your name, a man, blonde, short, stupid, wealthy, etc…  At some point you will identify with just about everything that crosses your path in this life… it is NOT who you are.

Sex and Sexuality

Transition is changing from one form or state of being to another, and this process can happen instantly or it can take many years.  It is human nature to resist change so most often it is a slow process.  Each person has a fundamental energy signature that characterizes the individual’s personality or character.  Transition involves a change in energy vibration or energy signature.

In my eBook Methods of Raising Our Energy I describe several techniques you can use to facilitate transition and make it smoother just as I do in this blog.  Actually the eBook came first and then I was inspired to begin this blog because this is in alignment with my mission statement and ministry goals.

Toward that purpose I have been working on a new eBook that addresses the subject of Sex and Sexuality.  In this dual natured world we live in each aspect of life can be used to better your life or to ruin it!  Sex and Sexuality are foremost on this list.  The level of energy that is put into any activity determines the result that is attained.  By level of energy I mean your intention and purpose.  When sex activity is used for pleasure only it becomes all about the pleasure and what I can get out of it.  It becomes give me MORE!

Such is any addiction and the root to so much suffering in the world.  The mind gets stuck on what can I get out of this, or what’s in it for me?  This is a very destructive mode to operate in and if your life is not going the way you would like, I would look at this very closely.  When the coin is flipped and you approach sex with an attitude of what do I have to offer?  Or How can I serve you?  Then the energy is flowing in the proper direction, through you.  You become the Light that heals and lifts up.

Sexuality is basically the essence of this energy.  I equate sexuality with spirituality.  The energy signature I mentioned can be thought of as your sexuality.  It is what you have to offer the world.  Sex is only one method of expressing this energy.  Friendship, Love, compassion, caring, gratitude, grace, and many others are ways of expressing your sexuality.

Gender identity and sexual orientation are aspects of your sexuality that I discuss in my new eBook.  Please keep an eye out for it.  I am releasing it in time for Christmas and the winter holidays.  If you are interested in my other eBooks, please visit this website, Unity in Gender Diversity.

May your days be filled with Joy and your nights peaceful.
