We are One

I am as God created me!

I am as God created me!  So why are you feeling dysphoria?  Why do you think there is something wrong with you?  (too fat, too tall, wrong genitalia, wrong hair color or eye color, etc, etc.)  The imperfections are not of God’s making.  The imperfections and the feelings of incongruence (dysphoria) come from the Ego.  Allow me to explain this world to you.

This physical world we live in here is the creation of the Ego Mind, the aspect of you which believes itself separate from God.  In truth this world is a dream and often it is a dream within a dream!  It does not matter how many ‘echos’ of the One which are created, the point is there is only One and this one is God, the all there is.  If you love movies, theatre, or story-telling then you know dreams… this life you think you are living is no more real than the stories you experience on TV, Movies, Theatre, or a story-telling stage.  What makes it seem so real?  Ego mind!

Adam and Eve are the original Ego story, not that they are real either.  This Ego is an aspect of God which wished to see what separate means and so created a separate world, this world where we sit today, or seem to sit today.  In reality no one has gone anywhere!  We are all still in the loving arms of God, yet asleep and dreaming of life.

As the Course in Miracles states, the dream was but a second or flash and all that is or was or will be happened and we returned to God.  The “reality” we experience now is simply an echo of this dream, thus the dream within a dream…

The next question then is how do we awaken from this dream?  First of all by understanding who “I” is.  These pesky pronouns are very confusing!  I, me, you, us, we, they are simply different aspect of the One.  Please understand there is only ONE.  The delusion is that you are separate from me and that they exist at all!

This probably seems farfetched and from the perspective of the Ego mind it is.  Step back from this perspective and see through the eyes of Holy Spirit, feel through Holy Spirit.  It may take a while so don’t be in a rush.  I have been working in this for years.  The Truth becomes clearer every day though, so I keep the Faith and move forward.  This takes us to the next step, acceptance.

Accept things as they seem (even though we know otherwise).  Imagine you are a character in a movie.  Can that character get out of the movie?  Not hardly; they must play their part to the end.  So why not enjoy your part/role in this elaborate story of life!  It is much better than choosing misery.  Be the best you (whatever your role is at the time) and Shine!

Transgender Journey about Acceptance

The transgender journey is really about acceptance, both your acceptance of yourself and others acceptance of you.  The second one is a gauge to let you know how you are doing on the first one.  Being self-loving is not the same thing as being self-serving or self-centered.  In fact they are totally different.

How can this be?  Very simply, we are one.  There is only One self… The Self.  By accepting and loving your self you are in fact accepting and loving all selves.  Don’t worry it does not mean you are approving of the self that murders or rapes.  You are just accepting them for who they are with a knowing that they are one possibility. Right and wrong are just human concepts.  We are each an expression of the whole, a slice of a very large pie.  Love it all!!

I ask that you contemplate this reality.  You are you and I am me and we are One!  Being transgender is just one expression of the whole and even this has a multitude of expressions just as being a heterosexual white male does.  Don’t let appearances fool you either.  Just because you may see a woman, they may see a man or you may read them as gay and they identify as pansexual.  You may think of them as a nice person, when they have done horrible things no one knows about thus thinking of themselves as a monster.  Love it all.

What it comes down to is Mind.  You’ve heard the expressions “never mind” or “I don’t mind”.  This is precisely so!  We exist in mind.  The material world we experience is a projection of this mind. (read Butterflies are Free to Fly by Stephen Davis and see the Holographic Universe video series for more on this)  So the acceptance is about accepting what the mind has created and making it all OK.  Some would call this forgiveness, so forgive it all.  None of it is “real”, so don’t worry there are no Ultimate consequences only temporary consequences to our actions.  Karma is real in the world of matter, so yes your actions do matter. (Pun intended)

If this blog confuses you then no worries, it confused me at first too.  Be curious and inquisitive.  The answer to your question is there… under that spot you prefer not to look.  Don’t be afraid, it is OK to peek in there.  You may be surprised at the wonder you find.  I am.

Love n Light,

Sequoia Elisabeth 🙂

Happy Easter!

“During the Crucifixion, one of the Roman soldiers ran a spike through J’s (Jesus) wrist. He didn’t feel or show any pain. The soldier was indignant. He screamed at J and demanded, “Why don’t you feel any pain?” J looked at him calmly and said, “If you have no guilt in your mind, you cannot suffer.” The soldier became outraged at his inability to inflict pain on J, and stuck a spear in his side. It didn’t do the soldier any good, or have any effect on J.

At one point, with J nailed to the cross and with blood flowing down, he gazed lovingly over at his wife, Mary Magdalene, and she looked at him. As their eyes connected, a gentle smile came on both of their faces. They knew he had overcome death. He wasn’t a body in his mind. What he was couldn’t be killed by the world. It couldn’t even be hurt by the world! The spirit that he really was, which is no different than God, would go on forever. She was experiencing the same thing as J, and there was nothing anyone in the world could do to alter the truth that was within them.

That’s the message of the Crucifixion, or as J put it later in the Course, “Teach only love, for that is what you are. If you interpret the crucifixion in any other way, you are using it as a weapon for assault rather than as the call for peace for which it was intended.” (Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life, by Gary Renard)

Happy Easter Beloveds!  It is so important to actually understand what this day really celebrates.  Our level of expansion is reflected in our degree of understanding of this human experience.  Jesus is a story whose purpose is to free us from our misconceptions of “reality”.  Several of his teachings come to mind now – one is; be in this world – not of it.  Which actually means the only way to be free of it is to move through it.   Love your life and the ride is much more pleasant.  To hate it, get upset, or be angry is literally being mad (pun intended)!  It is resistance and as we know, what you resist, persists.  A confusion that often arises is that you must like all of your experiences and this is simply not true.  The fact is you will not like many of your experiences.  They are still good experiences.  The reason is up to you of course.  My opinion is we have experiences we don’t like because we need balance and it also expands the mind.  The deeper in illusion you are the more unpleasant experiences there are to be had.  Let go and allow yourself to rise up like a balloon rising up through consciousness!

On this day of Resurrection keep the above quote in mind and forgive your thoughts of dying!  Life is eternal!  No one ever dies, although the dream would have you thinking of it all the time.  Know that you have a body, but that you are not that body.  Nor are you the mind which thinks you are the body.  Be not attached to this world, but at the same time Love It!  Love every aspect and when the time has come we will be released from this dream to experience Eternity once again.

Memory vs Memories

Having recently passed the half century mark I could be concerned with memory by buying into popular myths and misfortunes.  But this would be entirely off base.  Why? Because memory has been an issue for me since childhood.  My brain has never worked like most people’s do, so I had to learn techniques to cope with these challenges.

Remembering things, I have seen is really easy for me, but if I have not seen them and only read or heard them it is much harder to remember.  This runs true for most people, experience is the best teacher, meaning we remember things we have directly experienced far better than stuff we have only heard or read about.

The topic of memory is quite large filling volumes of materials, so we need to condense it into a manageable space.  It can also be approached from different perspectives such as memorization in an academic setting, memory for daily activities such as work (remembering names and faces), and memories of personal experiences.  I will focus on the later and offer these websites to cover the other topics, Memorization for school, Memory for daily activities.

Memories of personal experiences can be enhanced using the techniques offered in the previously provided websites on memory, so I recommend reviewing them also.  I would like to offer up another term which greatly affects our lives, and this is Selective Memory.  This may conjure up past or present relationships with a chuckle and it can be funny.  It can also be devastating to your Spiritual growth.  The simple fact is we tend to push unpleasant memories out of our mind and lock them away in our Pandora’s box which itself is hidden in our treasure chest of memories.  Yes, these are those experiences that cut to the bone and rocked our very soul!

Some would call this doing Shadow Work, just one name for it.  Here are some links to Debbie Ford’s life’s work, www.theshadoweffect.com/ and http://youtu.be/0kxy5GQkedo.  So, if you find this to be helpful, I will also recommend Byron Katie’s teachings, http://thework.com/ and http://www.byronkatie.com/.  This said, have you ever felt like you have hit a wall in your growth?  Perhaps the same issues keep recurring or you frequently meet similar type individuals.  “Shadow work is nothing more than the process of making the unconscious conscious and the unacceptable, acceptable.” (http://tealswan.com/) The habit of selective memory could be behind this process.  The less you wish to look at something the more your mind will want to show you!  If ignored for long enough drastic events will happen to force you to face the issues being ignored.  Often these are life changing events, emotional breakdowns, physical injury, or drastic shifts in career.  The path to healing is to face these scary memories and past experiences which have never had the opportunity to be processed by the mind.

What one discovers when they make the effort to explore these memories and feelings which at first may be scary, is just how harmless they really are.  Abuse or trauma is one of those things we all tend to hide away and at the time it was the most efficient method of dealing with this overwhelming experience.  Now that the threat has passed it is safe to take another look at what happened.  Do not trust your memories in this regard.  Focus rather on the feelings surrounding the event and explore the roots.  Having a guide on this journey is often the best and most effective choice to make.  Just making the choice to face your fears is often enough.  There is no reason to fully relive the experience, only to see that which you could not before.  Once seen in a big picture format all is put into perspective and the mind releases its hold on these frightful experiences.  When a light is flipped on immediately it fills the room and darkness is gone.  This is how the process works.  Choose to dig deep down within your own psyche carrying a lantern with you!  Be not afraid of what lies below for it could lead to treasure!

Virtual Exercise

Some may call virtual exercise ‘meditation’ and they would be close. I call it the power of imagination.  The idea is really simple and goes like this; the two things which characterize exercise are deep breathing and blood flow. Of course the muscles contracting are simply one mechanism to make this work. Heat is another factor which as we do work, heat is produced thus increasing both breathing to cool the blood and blood flow for the same reason of cooling.

What if you were to practice deep breathing techniques while in a warm bath or room? When you get right down to it the warmth is not really even necessary, it just amps things up a bit. It really is all about the deep breathing and the imagination. Nothing exterior is really needed.

If you feel the need you can use things like the warm bath or room, music, virtual imagery, binaural beat brainwave therapy and perhaps even movement (calisthenics, yoga, negative resistance, etc). Imagine yourself climbing a mountain, running in the park, swimming in azure waters, whatever you like! Use the tools to assist your starting and then wean yourself off of them and always focus on the inner gifts and know the outer is simply an expression of the inner.

Deep breathing works because you are literally drawing life into your body. Prana/Chi=Air=Energy. As you breathe use your imagination to feel the energy filling each cell of your body, relax and move your focus from top to bottom and then back up again… focus on each body part starting with the head moving down to the toes and then back up again. Get very specific if you have plenty of time or be more general if this is a brief exercise. Be sure to visualize the energy filling the cells and organs, flushing out stagnant, stale energy and replacing it with new vibrant excitement… Love itself!

The more you practice the better and easier it will get. There will come a time when five minutes deep breathing whenever you are stressed or simply need a break will be all the exercise you need. It should be a regular, at least daily practice for 30 days, eventually becoming a happy healthy habit you will miss if you forget.

Note of caution: Please be careful not to hyperventilate, so go slowly and also keep the warm room, sauna, hot tub, bath to a minimum, 5-15 mins are enough. Tell someone where you are and ask them to check on you or simply have them join you. Common sense applies always and all ways.

Healthy Living Guide

We all hear what we should be doing to stay healthy every day and from a multitude of sources.  Who do you trust?  Is it “mother knows best”?  Sometimes, so let me share with you what I have discerned over the years from all this “advice”.  I will share this in a bullet format for easier navigation and retention.

  • Learn to listen to your inner guidance or intuition. In ACIM they call it the “Voice for God”.  No matter what you call it, know the difference between your ego voice or little-self speaking to you and your higher or God-self speaking.  If you are interested in learning more about this contact me, I can help.
  • Think Healthy! The power of the mind is not to be underestimated.   The life you live follows this format, Thoughts – Words – Action.  First you accept a thought (not all thoughts come from you, so whatever you accept then becomes yours), then you share it with others who either support it or not, then you take action on this thought and it becomes your reality.  Obviously this is a very simplistic explanation, but this basic understanding is vital to making positive changes in your life, changes you actually desire.
  • Meditate! Meditate! Meditate! Make meditation a daily conscious practice.  Everyone meditates unconsciously every day and this keeps them in the groove where they are.  So if you wish to rise out of that groove, to learn and grow, conscious meditation is crucial.  Several ways to do this and I talk about this in my eBook, Methods of Raising Our Energy, a free download from my website.
  • Exercise is what firms the body. It does not have to be complicated or difficult, but the more you move the stronger the body becomes… to a point, anything can be taken to excess.  Take the stairs always and everywhere, stay active at home, and walk instead of drive whenever you can.  Do stretching exercises and isometrics when you are at your desk or watching TV.  None of this is formal exercising, so you can do that too if you desire.
  • Consume life in moderation. Meaning all the things humans do which comprise life, eating, drinking, sex, sports, hobbies, etc.  Be conscious of what you are participating in.  Question everything!  Just because someone is an expert or a family member or a friend does not mean they know what is best for you.  All they can do is speak for themselves.  Don’t allow yourself to be caught in the flow or tide of mass action.  Just because others are doing it does not make it good for you.  This goes back to intuition, listen to your inner voice before any others.
  • Stick to natural foods, the less processing the better. (Junk food: food that has low nutritional value, typically produced in the form of packaged foods needing little or no preparation.) The healthiest diet known to mankind is a Raw Food diet. I know this can be difficult in our present society so do some research and do the best you can.  Learn about the alkalinity of foods, the less acid the better. (This is just a blog, but if you have questions please ask)  In our modern day society we have destroyed the nutrients in our food and modified others so much they are no longer healthy to eat.  Gluten foods, wheat, barley, rye, and oats should be eliminated from your diet.  This video explains it nicely: http://youtu.be/x5gXRFfMS3g.
  • Fasting and detoxification should be done on a regular basis. I do a 12hr fast every day and a three day fast once or twice a year.  The detox can be done at the same time when you supplement with organic apple juice.  There are many programs out there to detox so research this and choose something which you feel is do-able.  It is scary at first, then you realize how good it feels when you are done and it gets easier the next time.  This practice aligns with the Law of Rhythm and promotes good health.
  • Food is nutrition, not pleasure. Understand that eating can be enjoyable, but this is not its purpose.  Remember this and accept that some things which are good for you nutritionally do not necessarily taste good, eat them anyway.  Eat foods by color and as they say, “eat the rainbow”.  If all your food is one color; then you are out of balance.  Eating can be a meditation or at least a conscious act to feed the body and soul.  Think positively about your food, say grace, and be grateful for the energy this food brings to you.

This is the short list as this could easily be a book.  I have provided a few links to make researching a little easier.  Every question has an answer, so just relax and ask questions while being open to the answer, it may not be what you want to hear.

Identity Crisis

Here are two definitions of what a girly girl is which came up in a discussion recently.  We discovered that we each had a slightly different understanding of this term even though most of the group identified with being a girly girl or at least wanting to be this.  The question I posed was Why?

“Girly girl is a slang term for a girl or woman who chooses to dress and behave in an especially feminine style, such as wearing pink, using make-up, using perfume, dressing in skirts, dresses and blouses, and talking about relationships and other activities which are associated with the traditional gender role of a girl.” (Wikipedia.com 2014)

“Girly Girl: an extremely feminizing girl. A girly girl’s favorite color is usually pink, but also likes other pretty colors like purple, baby blue, and pastels. A girly girl: Cares a lot about how she looks and dresses; wears very feminine, cute, stylish, and sexy clothes like skirts, dresses, cute tops and stylish low-rise jeans; likes wearing high heels; wears a lot of pink; does her hair up nice; wears a lot of makeup; does her nails a lot; loves jewelry; usually not into sports; reads fashion magazines; makes herself as little like a guy as possible; usually into guys as more than just friends but doesn’t have to be into guys like that because sometimes a girly girl can be a femme or lipstick lesbian. Also a girly girl says “like”, “totally”, “Oh my gosh!”, “Oh my God”, and “whatever!” a lot.” (Urban Dictionary 2014, grammar corrected by author)

Ultimately it comes down to being Authentic.  Is this ‘Girly Girl’ your authentic self?  It is also interesting to note that many transwomen have been in relationships with them or want to be.  The question that nags at me is how does this relate to identity?  Does our partner really have to resonate with our own identity?  Isn’t this what these relationships really represent?  Most people choose a partner who embodies their own ideals!  People who they feel fill a void within themselves.

Perhaps this is what drives the Transgender identity.  Sometime a rock is a rock.  Is a rock ever really a tree?  The topic of gender identity can be a confusing one and I certainly do not claim to have it all figured out.  All I can do is work from my own feelings and understandings.  So I invite you to reflect on this topic, to question reality, and to search for your soul!

This quest has been a lifetime journey for me and I welcome the perspective of others who also consciously ask “who am I”?    If you identify as a ‘Girly Girl’ what does this mean to you and why do you identify this way?  However you identify… why have any identity at all?  Is it possible to not have an identity?  Maybe you could un-identify yourself with anything!  The question then moves to how does one relate to the world?

A Course In Miracles (ACIM) states all identity separates and this is insane!  The idea of being separate from anything else is exactly what the Course is undoing.  Nothing is separate from Source (God).  God is all there is, so since there is nothing else to be separate from this idea is false.  Perhaps then the only identity we need is “I am”.  The name of God is “I am that I am”.  When embraced with a comma we experience true reality… “I am that, I am”.

What Love Is

A Transgender lifetime is about balancing polarity, metaphysically speaking.  We don’t choose it per se, nature always balances its energy and thus it is our evolution that brings us here.  Too many gay male lifetimes lead me here.  This is not to say that being gay is wrong, just that life needs to be in balance.  Ultimately it is all about Love.  Love is the only ‘reality’ and who you are and who you love matters not… love is all that really matters.

So few actually understand what love is.  I ran across this quote recently which explains it nicely.  I offer this up for our mutual understanding!

“What is considered as love by the majority of people is not really true love at all but a mixture of the desire to love and the desire to be loved and acknowledged. There is often an over-emphasis to show and evoke sentiment in order to be emotionally comfortable in one’s own life.

This type of human love, which is often attaching and dependent, comes from a place of personal need and self-interest. Although illusion, this pseudo love has been a very necessary experiential phase in our human evolution while helping us to learn more about the self through dualistic relationships of all types.

We are now progressing beyond personality love and into an expansion of consciousness that realizes the Self as a vibrant and powerful center of fundamental, Universal Love and blessed with an expanded capacity to serve the human race.

Divine Love is not affectionate, emotional, or sentimental. (Bold emphasis mine.) This liberating intelligence knows no opposite nor does it come from a place of need. It is a neutralizing; cohesive force and its transforming power is boundless.
Divine Love wields the cohesive power that guides the universe, leading and sustaining everything into integration, unity and inclusiveness.

This love is pure reason. Its wisdom clarifies and impels motive. This brings magnetic attraction into play to produce cohesion, resulting in the unification of consciousness. (This is what I mean by being Transgender is a natural balancing.)

…We are here to serve as the potent collective expression of Divine Love in action.

It is important to understand that Divine Love is group love. This is love for the WHOLE, which is a completely different demonstration than the personality’s affection for friends, children, or a mate. (Italic emphasis mine)

You will know that the fire of true love is radiating inside you if your love for all people is greater than the love of yourself and of your individual relationships. You do not even think about personal happiness because your focus in life is upon goodwill to others.

You will know when you have reached this level of vibration when you can smile at every person that you confront in your life without passing any thought of judgment. Instead, you look into their eyes and only see the beauty that exists in their soul. The purity of this love gives constantly as its inherent nature, requiring nothing back in return.” (Children of the Sun)

My version of what Love is can be found in the eBook, Livin Large Chap. 12, which can be read online or downloaded at no charge.  Imperfection is the Human way so forgive your imperfect love; I do.  In fact, this is my Journey of Love… Forgiveness.

“Forgiveness is unknown in Heaven, where the need for it would be inconceivable. However, in this world, forgiveness is a necessary correction for all the mistakes that we have made. To offer forgiveness is the only way for us to have it, for it reflects the law of Heaven that giving and receiving are the same. Heaven is the natural state of all the Sons of God as He created them. Such is their reality forever. It has not changed because it has been forgotten.

Forgiveness is the means by which we will remember. Through forgiveness the thinking of the world is reversed. The forgiven world becomes the gate of Heaven, because by its mercy we can at last forgive ourselves. Holding no one prisoner to guilt, we become free. Acknowledging Christ in all our brothers, we recognize His Presence in ourselves. Forgetting all our misperceptions, and with nothing from the past to hold us back, we can remember God. Beyond this, learning cannot go. When we are ready, God Himself will take the final step in our return to Him.” (ACIM.org)

Ten Days Of Gratitude

Make it a Habitude of Gratitude!

Unity in Gender Diversity invites you to enjoy Ten Days of Gratitude by stating one thing you are grateful for each day till Thanksgiving.  This starts on the 18th and runs until Nov. 27th.  Of course every day is a day for gratitude, but for those of us who have not developed this habit, now is a perfect opportunity to do just that!

The secret to powerful gratitudes and prayers is both intention and emotion.  So the object is to feel your gratitudes as deeply as you can, to contemplate their meaning and purpose, and to imagine connecting to Source, (gratitude comes thru you not from you, so we are simply owning it).

Grace and Gratitude are two traits I have been developing all my life and I suspect you have also been developing these muscles maybe without even noticing!  Without Gratitude life simply stops working.  It is the grease that keeps the engine running. Grace is the way in which we do this.  I invite you to test this right now over the next 10 days!  Not only does what you focus on grow, but that which you are grateful for is attracted to you.  “Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart.” Sarah Ban Breathnach

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I feel gratitude is so important and because I feel that I am pretty good at it.  The food is not bad either <G>.  The Native American’s taught us one important thing about this holiday so please consider the following.

The food you eat is a gift from Great Spirit (even if you paid for it).  Life is being transformed to a Higher form by us eating it and giving our grace to the animal or plant that is offering it up.  We always thank the animal or plant for giving its life so that we may live.  It is a thought and a feeling that becomes a habit every time you consume something.  “Grace isn’t a little prayer you chant before receiving a meal. It’s a way to live.” Attributed to Jacqueline Winspear.

Thanksgiving is a daily event, not just one day a year!  Of course holidays are about family and friends sharing gratitude for each other as well as all their other gifts.  In this busy world of diverse business and world travel many families no longer live in close proximity so the holidays are an excuse to come together.  As far as gratitude and grace, well these are daily practices which we are reminded of and celebrate at least once a year at Thanksgiving.

To participate in the Ten Days of Gratitude, go to my facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/sequoiaelisabeth  and make your comments on my posts, one each day starting on the 18th.  I will also be posting on my website, or if you prefer just choose one thing you are grateful for each day to meditate on, write it down, and share it!  With practice it becomes a daily habit and leads to a more joyous life.

Healing Occurs in the Mind plus How Medicine Works

Healing illness involves healing the mind. A simple statement to be sure, however the power it offers is certainly not simple.  It is a profound statement, Healing occurs in the mind!  How can this be?  It simply means the body or physical form is an extension of the mind or thoughts of the individual.  Remember you are a Spiritual Being, having a human experience.  The physical form is dense and dark at times and nothing heals like Light and Love!  Here are some guidelines to keep in mind as you heal.

(1) All illness begins in the mind and is triggered by the emotions.  We experience it as feelings both emotional and physical.   To heal anything then we must find the root cause.  This is usually a very personal thing and only you will really know what it is.  It is not usually what it appears to be.

(2) It is scary sometimes to face our challenges and fully feel our emotions.  Know that no matter what you do, you have help in the form of unseen helpers, angels and the like.  The best advice I can offer is to go within to explore your inner feelings accepting them as you forgive yourself for having and creating them.  See the higher purpose for these feelings.  Once you have fully experienced these feelings release them to Allah, Great Spirit, or God.  The emotions which no longer serve you are easy to release.

(3) Most doctors treat the symptoms, i.e. headaches, dizziness, etc.  It is really up to each of us to heal ourselves by choosing wisely our treatment.  This is where we must follow our intuition or gut feelings.  Listen to your inner voice as it knows what you need, although you may not be willing to admit it.  It may take doing research or asking questions, but if you are sincerely seeking you will find.  Ask how is this illness serving me?  Most illnesses serve an ulterior motive, such as keeping you from facing a fear or shame.

(4) Illness is simply a thought or idea which is shared via mass media and the power of suggestion.  Well-meaning friends often share how they felt last week or some article they read about some ‘outbreak’ of dis-ease and in doing so plant the idea in your mind which then goes on to create the symptoms.  The idea gets in to the mind in so many ways, often you are not conscious of the route.  For instance, doctors now blame viruses or bacteria for your “illness” so you will go visit them (which requires money). They give you a pill or medicine and your mind now has external permission to heal so you do.  Of course everything happens for a reason so it is up to you to figure this out.  The truth of the matter is you are a perfect whole healthy person, always… and all ways!

A suggested resource to assist your healing journey is Louise L. Hay’s “Heal Your Body, The Mental Causes for Physical Illness and the way to overcome them”.  The book is just a guide, so remember to trust your gut first.  The course of healing is first to identify the symptoms, there is no need to give the illness a name per se.  If you have cold like symptoms do the affirmations for a cold without stating “it is or I have”.  Look deep and see if you can find the emotions behind the symptoms.  Do so without judgment or blame, simply accept the situation and be grateful it will all be over soon.  Focus on how you desire to feel, see it in your mind, imagine your life as if all is healed.  Give the illness to a Higher Power (Allah, Great Spirit, or God) and go on with your life.  Get rest if you need it, drink plenty of water, and think positive, loving thoughts.  A quick review – Identify, Accept, Forgive, Gratitude, and Release.

I am combining two blogs I wrote before because they go so well together.  Trust in life and over time with persistence Goodness is the result.

The purpose of medicine is to help you shift your consciousness from unhealthy to healthy thoughts, to shift dis-ease to ease.   Illness arises from an imbalance in the body’s energy.  The creative process works in this order: thought, word, action/experience.  So if you can choose your thoughts carefully and support them in word, good health will be the result/experience.  Of course this is a cycle, so the action/experience then leads to further thought and the cycle repeats.  At least two in the cycle must be changed in order for shift to occur.  For instance, “Wow, this medicine works great” (whether it actually works or not) and focus on how healthy vibrancy feels.  As long as thought is aligned with the words, the results will be positive.

Medicine in our modern allopathic system treats the symptoms and not the dis-ease, but it does work especially if you believe that it does.  However the process involved in the medicine working is much like a filter on a movie projector lens.  The source of the illness stays the same (thought combined with emotion), but your view of it changes and thus as you believe you are well, the symptoms are gone; your thoughts then shift the source to align with healing as your emotions shift.  Just as a filter on a movie projector alters the image on the screen, medicine alters your perception of reality.  Medicine need not be prescription to work, however the stronger the belief it works (most people give more power to prescription meds), the better the result and this goes for mass consciousness too.  Meaning the more people believe a certain drug works, the more powerful the effect.

Your relationship with your doctor is vital to your recovery. (not the doctor her/himself)  Why? because your thoughts about any situation determine the outcome.  Positive loving thoughts aid the situation and negative or doubtful thoughts hinder the healing process.  So if you like your doctor and think he/she is the greatest and/or the most capable, your healing experience will reflect this in the positive.  Most people who go to the doctor give their healing powers over to the doctor so they can then do what is necessary to heal you.  There is an energy exchange that goes on unconsciously so I am suggesting you keep it positive as best you can.  Remember the mind is creating the ‘reality’ of your experience.

Now sometimes higher powers are at work and no matter what you do the outcome has been decided.  This is often the case when a person is set to leave this world.  Your method and time of death has already been chosen.  So some things are not up to you!  What is up to you always is how you handle it, so having a positive loving outlook produces less pain and more benefits for everyone involved.  There is nothing more inspiring than to watch a loved one handle a dire situation with poise, courage, and dignity.

I trust you now know the importance of the saying “Attitude is everything” and why we take medicine, even if it is only a sugar pill (healing goes way beyond the placebo effect).  By the way, surgery works in much the same way.  Like rearranging the items in a room for a different Fung Shui surgery shifts the effects or removes symptoms to allow the mind to balance the thoughts to healthy!  So stay focused on being healthy even if the evidence seems contrary.  “I think, therefore I am”  René Descartes.

Karmic Money

Have you ever thought about where your money has come from?  I don’t mean printing presses or banks.  I mean energetically.  What sort of energy does money carry with it?  Consider this carefully.  Was that $20 bill your holding involved in a robbery or drug deal transaction?

When money is created at the printing press it is simply paper with ink on it, the energy it carries is neutral.  As soon as it touches a hand it takes on karmic energy and this builds in each and every transaction.  So let’s say you get a large windfall from a relative who wills you the money.  Their side of the family was always wealthy and loved to do philanthropic work.  Most likely this money will possess positive karma and will attract more money like it.  So you prosper from this point on.

Now let us look at a scenario many people dream and hope for every day because most of us don’t have wealthy family.  Winning the jackpot lottery is something everyone desires, right?  Consider where this money has been and since there is a lot of it the energy it carry’s is intense!  Most likely it will have picked up quite a bit of negative energy and so it goes… many of the Grand Prize winners have lost or spent all the money in under five years.  They are right back where they started from.

The moral to this tale is simply be aware of what you wish for and more importantly cherish what you already have!  Know that everything comes with a price and we are not talking money here.  Energy is everywhere and objects can collect and store this energy.

Here is an example you may relate to.  Ever talk to your car?  Are you nice to it?  Do you curse the car when things don’t go your way or it breaks down?  What if you praised your car and held gratitude for it?  I suppose the easiest way to put it is this; What you put out, you get back.  As for the windfall you’ve been wishing for, keep it positive!

E-motion Pictures

We are human and this means we feel emotion.  E-motion, energy in motion….  Is this all we are? Of course not, but this what makes us unique in this world.  When a person is immature emotions often get the better of them and as they grow they learn to harness this energy and direct its flow.  It is a tool for deepening appreciation and understanding of life itself.  Would you be afraid of a hammer or a pencil?  Of course not, they are simply tools for expression… for creating.  Emotions are also this … a tool for creating, expressing, and appreciating.  Even though emotions are only one aspect of our being we must learn to respect this aspect and indeed embrace this gift of being human.

With all this being said, there is a wonderful creation we have made to honor, practice, and appreciate the emotions of mankind, The Motion Picture!  Today it comes in many forms from home video & webcam to TV & Movies.  There is no greater tool for learning and appreciating emotion than this medium of TV & Movies.  And let us remember in the beginning they were called Motion Pictures for a very simple reason.  In fact they are E-Motion in Pictures.  So if a movie or television show does not bring out your emotions, I posit it does not deserve to be viewed and that it has failed its purpose.  When I watch a show I use two markers for success, one being that the show makes me laugh, and the other is I feel the need to cry.  The tears may be of joy, but if you are not crying then you are not connecting to your emotional drivetrain.  The key word here is feeling.  The shows you watch should make you feel and the deeper the better!

Now that you are connected to your inner feelings we can move on to the positive and negative of emotion.  Does it matter which type you are feeling?  Of course it does!  Negative feelings are important to sort out and movies can really help you do this without the dire consequences of doing it in person.  Do you know what envy feels like?  How about jealousy?  These are powerful emotions and learning to deal with them constructively is a prerequisite for Spiritual growth and for living peacefully in this world.  Will you need to sort through these emotions in person? Yes and if you have a good understanding of them from watching movies the process is less harmful and more beneficial.  The same can be said for positive emotions like love and respect.

The Universe provides all you need to grow and prosper.  Movies are a valuable part of the process when used consciously.  Never fear your emotions, nor should you avoid feeling them.  Allow them to flow and you will be the better for it.  When you make this a conscious process more the better!  I bless you on your Journey of Love and happy viewing.

Ancestral Forgiveness – Going With The Flow

During meditation today I had a deep insight into my “Journey of Love” or “my Life” or “this grand forgiveness exercise we call life”.  How the tapestry of family is woven together became clear to me, at least to a certain point.  Perhaps the more I ‘dream’ about this the clearer it will get.  The vision goes like this:

the male body given me at birth functions to balance the abundant mental/emotional energies of the Divine Feminine already flowing through my being. (There is no denying this energy as it consumes all that I think, say, and do) Normally a woman would get Masculine energy from a male partner, but this is not how a transgender woman operates or at least not this one (me). The physical energy of the Divine Masculine comes with resistance or reluctance to me, but I have access to this energy when I am willing to embrace it. This resistance to Divine Masculine energy is part and parcel stemming from my Aunts and Grandmother who felt they could not find “a good man” and that in fact they did not even exist. Their painful relationships have flowed over into the next generation as it so often does when these issues are not faced, meaning forgiven.

(I am sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you – Hoʻoponopono Prayer)

Perhaps they had too much Masculine energy since they were living in a time consumed by it.  On a grander scale it could be said all of mankind was overwhelmed with this patriarchal masculine energy and we are now moving into an age of the Divine Feminine.

Our ancestors are an important part of who we are because of the simple principle of Oneness.  We are them and they us!  This is why we need to know our ancestors and family lines as it gives us insight to who we are and the challenges we are facing.  It also gives us ample opportunity to work on them and by this I mean working to clear misconceptions, misdeeds, and karma.  It is a balancing of our energies which is nature’s constant function. The phrase “Go with the Flow” applies perfectly here.  We are not here to do anything, create anything, or even accomplish anything; we are here simply to balance the flow while simultaneously being the observer of life in this flow.  Perhaps this is what is meant by “being yourself”.  Let it Be!

Acceptance is Key… Revisited

Transition is a journey, whether the transition is gender (identity) related, materially related, or spiritually related. Preparation helps all go smoothly, while being ready to handle the unexpected becomes a valued skill.  Learning to accept what you have and working with it is both the beginning and the end of the journey.  The “what you have” is dynamic as is the journey.  So let’s begin.

First of all find out who you are.  This is not as simple as it may seem.  The person you see in the mirror is not necessarily who you are.  The body is simply a vehicle rather than who you are.  Just like your car is not who you are, neither is your body.  Getting to the point where you are happy (accept) with the image in the mirror and with yourself is sometimes a long road.  There is no right way to get there, so leave the GPS at home and use your intuition instead.

Introspection comes easily for some of us and much harder for others, so if you are one of those who does not like to look within, then this will be even more important to you, although you may need to get help.

The journey goes something like this, look in the mirror, what do you see?  Ok, this is your vehicle.  It was given you for a reason and most likely that reason is that it will take you where you need to go, not necessarily where you want to go.  Accept this gift!  Right here and now, STOP thinking you know where you are going.  Stop thinking you know who you are.  Let go of any preconceptions you may have acquired.  Each day is a new day and one with the potential to discover your true self.

Now that you have discovered your vehicle, go take it for a ride.  Test the cornering ability, the acceleration, and the stopping distance.  See how good you are at changing situations, demands on your services or skills.  On the road keep a notebook with you and record your best features, skills, and attributes.  Get to know what you are good at and what you need work on.  Accept where you are as perfect in this moment, all is well.

You have a long list now and are ready to pursue this even further.  Stay focused on the desirable features, skills, and attributes, the ones you put on your list and have already accepted.  Staying motivated at this level is about focusing on your goodness and forgiving all else.  If you noticed any undesirable attributes on the list you can acknowledge them, thank them for being a part of you, and then let them go.  To symbolize this write them down on a piece of paper.  In a safe location, burn the paper while focusing on gratitude – be grateful for the learning they afforded you.  Everything in your life serves a purpose so be grateful while at the same time do not get attached to them.  For instance, fat is often a shield we use to protect us from perceived danger or undesirable situations.  Notice I did not say “real” danger.  Once you become comfortable with the situations in your life and can accept your gifts of physical beauty and vigor then life supports this reality.  It all starts with your acceptance and willingness to see the beauty no matter your perceptions.

What is next for you?  Be optimistic and joyful, you have just let go of all your troubles.  The process continues and goes deeper each time.  Accept and repeat.  Life will evolve and get better and better!  Before you know it love and acceptance will exist in you on a deeper level than you even knew existed!  As this occurs your experience in the outer world conforms and reflects this reality.  The only real way to change the world is to change yourself!  The world is just you reflected!

Remember a few things along the way.  Everything happens for a reason, resistance is futile, and everyone is going through a similar journey, so give them what you would wish in return, acceptance.  Joy is in the journey!

All Death is Suicide 2014

The world is indeed evolving and I am glad to be a part of it.  The subject for today’s blog is not new but it is also near and dear to my heart.  I repost this blog in honor of Robin Williams who brought Joy to us all, as well as teaching us the lesson of Love.  Remember to remain open to new ideas and never judge others for the path they choose.

I find it strange that to die by “accident” is unavoidable but to die by suicide is sinful and unacceptable.  These beliefs serve a purpose of course, because they help us to make it through tough times when it is so easy to just end it.  Love is the answer, everything else are just excuses.  Consider the following quotes and make up your own mind.

“There is no such thing as an accident; everything that happens to you in every moment of every day is an exact vibrational match (thanks to the Law of Attraction) to the dominant thoughts you are thinking.

No exceptions, ever.

And, just to really throw the cat among the pigeons (as the saying goes), here’s one of Abraham’s most controversial (but completely true) sayings…

All death is suicide.

…which is a natural conclusion anyway if there is no such thing as an accident.” Stingray

It seems that everything is a choice, even death!  This goes right down to the color of your eyes and your genetic structure.  Not that all choice is conscious.  These choices were made before you were born and through thoughts, words, and actions taken by you along the path.

“However, the fear of death is unnecessary.  The truth is that all death is suicide.  At its core, everything is a choice.  There is an awakening occurring on the planet for those who are paying attention in which we are realizing how much choice we actually have in the creation of our reality.  As we accept our power we must let go of the desire to be accepted or understood by those who are stuck in mainstream thought.  This willingness to transcend the fears of others and become a pioneer is crucial to personal evolution.

In life, a central challenge is to let go of the idea that your body is decaying with time.  It is not.  It is actually recreating itself constantly.”  Unification.com

“In the Conversations with God Series by Neale Donald Walsh, God says that all death is suicide, and it is just a matter of whether we want to do it quickly, or over time with eating bad food, breathing polluted air, smoking, drinking etc. If someone is in pain, God does not want one to suffer, and does not blame someone for leaving their body quickly. If someone was to love you so much they would understand that, to keep you is selfish, everyone is sad when someone dies, not because so much they think something bad happened to them, but they cry for themselves, that what they want is no longer with them. Take this story for instance I was so in love with this guy, we lived together for a year, but I noticed he would go in the bedroom all sad and close the door sometimes. I found out he was looking at pictures of his kids he loved so much and his wife he was still in love with. I planned it out and talked him into moving to the city where his children and ex lived, and when we got there I said this is where I drop you off, I am moving on. I loved him enough to let him go and try to work things out with his wife and to be there for his children. Now, that is love.”  Kathy Miller

Remember that every thought, word, and action leads to your experience in this world and ultimately to your fate.  We are guided by higher powers, no matter how you think of them, Divine Being, God, or Higher Self.  Listen to this guidance and you will make it through the maze of life to the Promised Land.  There is no right or wrong way home.  Nanu-Nanu!

Life As A Relay Race Revisited

This is two previous blogs I posted and now we revisit them with new eyes and in a revised edition.  It always amazes me how quickly learning can take place.  Mostly I have made grammatical corrections and clarified a few of the messages, otherwise the blog remains intact.

If life was as a relay race, are you nearing the end of your race?  What have you learned which is important to put in your baton?  Keeping it brief, think of the top ten things you would make sure to pass along.  This is your legacy of advice to pass to the next runner.  By thinking on this topic ahead of time you will more fully appreciate your accomplishments and energize the rest of your life as well as those who run with you and those who come after.  I will go first…the following is my baton… my top ten essentials to pass along.

  • 1) Remember to breathe, consciously breathe, notice how the air fills your body and feel the energy as it invigorates each and every cell. This process keeps you in the present moment and it is the secret to a healthy, happy life.
  • 2) Remember life is not about you. Serving others is the greatest accomplishment any of us can make.  Giving is receiving!  Notice how you feel after helping a friend or giving a gift to a loved one and you know exactly of what I speak!
  • 3) Share your gifts (talents) by doing something you love. Just making a living (working solely for money) is self-destructive!  Let your living make you or to say this another way, allow life to sustain you (Money is only one reward for your efforts).  Living is the rule not the exception. (Money is not a requirement to live) The human body can go 30 days without food and up to a week without water.  Notice how life supports you and the experience just gets better and better!
  • 4) Feel your feelings! Emotion is the fuel for manifestation (creating what you desire).  Fear is a powerful negative emotion and thus attracts precisely what you do not want!  Is your desire at a passionate positive level or a fearful negative level?  Desire for something must be greater than fear of the opposite in order for it to manifest.  Facing the dark side (negative emotions) clears these forces from your life and it is as easy as turning a light on to illuminate a dark room.  It is not possible to experience fear and love at the same time, so choose Love!  Simply realizing you have inner light to shine whenever and wherever you need it can make all the difference.  Shine your light Beloved!
  • 5) Question reality, always and all ways! Things are often not what they seem, so do not judge.  Good or bad do not exist except in your mind, so release your attachment to this belief and life flows with ease.  My favorite quote on this topic is “All the worlds a stage and we are merely players” (Shakespeare).  Dealing with fantasy and fiction is our way of learning to see Truth.  Just because something is false does not mean it will go away and in fact it is the false things we must deal with first in order to find the truth.  Be willing to wade through the shit to reach the shore of truth.  The rewards are well worth it.
  • 6) Curiosity is the fuel which keeps us going. Without it you will go nowhere!  My favorite character as a child was Curious George, the monkey in yellow.  If you have not seen these programs I suggest checking them out and even if you have revisit them from time to time.  The innocence of youth is a gift we need not loose.  Curiosity is a big part of this innocence.  Also do not equate innocence with ignorance; it is more accurate to say they are opposites!
  • 7) Go with the flow…. “Resistance is futile” (Star Trek).  “What you resist persists.” (Carl Jung) What this means is to trust the flow of life and do what you must.  Blindly wandering the in dark is dangerous so it is important to find the flow (meaning) and go with it.  The truth of the matter is there is no meaning to life or more simply put, YOU are the meaning of life.  Your life, your creation!  No this does not contradict number 2, because God is all there is.  Your life is God expressing through you (a definition of flow).  This is also why nothing is either right or wrong.  It is because it needs to be in order for ‘God’s experience’ or ‘Infinite Intelligence’ to express though you.  The part which confuses us is Free Will.  We have both free will and destiny!  Life unfolds regardless to your choices, so if you really need to experience something, then you will eventually experience it.  You have the freedom to choose how you experience these things, not whether you will experience them.  Love and loss are examples we all seem to experience at some point in life, so accept these experiences with an open mind and a desire to learn and grow.  You can choose to avoid certain experiences which might be painful, but if “life” needs to experience it through you, it will.  Resistance causes pain; the more resistance, the more pain. Consider this when making choices in life.
  • 8) Life itself is a relationship! As humans we are most concerned with closer relationships.  Family is the first challenge we all face and then there is romance.  All I have mentioned prior applies here!  Just understand the world is a reflection of who you are, so those who are close to you are different aspects of ‘God’s experience’ or ‘Infinite Intelligence’.  So loving them is loving yourself!  While this is simple no one is saying it is easy.  Loving your family and close relations can be the opposite also and be experienced as hate, so consider this carefully as you observe your relations.  I call this a love/hate relationship and once they are seen through the eyes of oneness the relationship becomes whole again.
  • 9) Take care of your body. It is your vehicle for experiencing life and if you abuse it life will be cut short.  As we grow the adolescent years are the most challenging to the physical body, between puberty and the challenges of becoming an adult these years can be most difficult, but at the same time they can be the most rewarding.  You will test your limits and this is to be expected, just do so with caution.  Listen to your inner voice of reason.  This is the voice which is whispering, if you hear it loud and clear then do the opposite! (The ego is loud and demands to be heard, avoid this voice.  Instead get quiet and listen to the still small voice which is your Soul).
  • 10) Lastly and in continuation of caring for your body understand that life responds to your thoughts about it, and not just your thoughts but those of the majority. The majority of people believe eating healthy food makes you healthy; however, I say having healthy thoughts makes you eat healthy food! It is literally possible to think yourself healthy!  Of course the best advice here is Ben Franklin’s saying, “All things in moderation”.  Alcohol is good for you in small doses, but if abused it will kill you.  Fried food on occasion is fine, but eating only fried food will slowly destroy your health.  Strive for balance, love your body, even or especially the peculiarities, and respect others’ choices to do the same.

One Raindrop Raises The Sea

What is your story and how does it fit into the larger societal story.  Think of yourself as a pebble which just got dropped into a still pond.  There is your ripple, and as they move out they include the birth family ripple, your friends ripple, the community you live in ripple, … your state, country/nationality, etc. etc.  The ripples never stop and extend far beyond this place we call earth.  Each ripple is an identity with its own story.  If you have ever played in the bathtub, a pond, or sat by an enclosed bay you know the ripples will bounce off each other creating a “chop” or chaotic wave pattern.  This is how life is; we are each one ripple in the mighty waves of the much greater ocean.

So what if you wish to change your story or perhaps you have a certain view of your story and everyone else has theirs.  For instance, you see yourself as an easy going, creative person with a deep insight into the workings of the world and your family and perhaps friends see you as a mentally ill, free loader with their head in the clouds all the time.  We each have a story.  Just how these stories mesh is not always neat and smooth.  Any teenager can tell you that!  The real question is does their version of your story matter to you?  The answer I stick with is; “what you think of me is none of my business”, however, it does matter in the big scheme of things.  Not so much to you but to them.  How you think of another, you actually believe about yourself.  So their story of you reflects back on them.  All you can do is accept them for who they present and get on with living your life.

The dynamics of relationships can get complicated really fast, just as the ripples do in the bathtub.   It’s not your task to calm the waves.  Your task is to ride them out and forgive those who trespass against you.  Your task is to support your own story and allow them to have theirs.  Just don’t be fooled into thinking you can change your story without also affecting theirs!!

Coming out for any reason sends shock waves in all directions.  It is like doing a cannonball right in the middle of the pool!  The reason does not matter, it could be coming out as gay, transgender, having some disease, being mentally ill, or even harboring radial beliefs.  If your inner circle does not also relate then your story change will exclude them.  It is like the repulsion of a magnet.  With time it is possible for alignment to occur, if and only if, they accept your story.

One could say it is just a story.  Why do you want to mess up my story by changing yours?  This is not fair to the rest of us.  I call this an invitation to take a guilt trip, but to take this trip you must first buy a ticket.  There is no need to give in to others.  We can all have a story (and do) and still respect others and their story (this is up to you).  So the plot changes from time to time.  Plot twists make it all the more interesting!

It is never ‘just’ a story.  Your story is vital to the workings of this world and without it we are all diminished.  Think of yourself as one candle and everyone else each being a candle.  Together we are as bright as the sun, removing one candle diminishes the whole or to put it another way, quoting Dinotopia, one of my favorite stories, “One raindrop raises the sea.”

Identity Vs Role Play

Identity vs. Role Play

When was the last time you considered your identity consciously?  I mean were you really aware of your self-identity and how you relate to the world?  Who are you?  Where does the roles you play fit into your identity and where do they separate?  These are questions I ask myself regularly so I will share some of my insights.  Your experience here will likely be different than mine, but then this is what makes life worth living.  Variety is the spice of life.

Breaking down the question “Who are you?” leads to who = person, are = state of being, and you = ???  “You” is a broad term and as we grow spiritually we realize that there is a lot more to “you” than realized. There is the individual you (the self-identity), the roles you play as you (Mother, Daughter, housewife, friend, etc.), the larger you connected through community (teacher, activist, citizen, steward, etc.) and the Universal One you, which is the only “real” you there is.  I use “real” loosely here which is why I put it in parenthesis.  Perhaps it is “real” which we ultimately seek, but for now we will stick with identity and roles.  Using them as the barometer for which we measure these things.

We each play roles constantly and this includes the one you are playing right now as you read this. It is important to clarify the roles in each situation of your life so you may more fully experience who you really are.  Wait, is this true?  Are you the roles you play?  Perhaps the answer lies in context and it is the very Matrix you exist in that determines who you are at that moment.  Not to say because you swim in the ocean you are fish, but it does mean you are fish like and the connection to life in the sea is that much more relevant to you.  The sea will also inform your actions and vice versa.

I believe life to be circular, meaning who you are informs life and life itself informs who you are; it is a give and take, an ebb and flow!  This means that who you are is constantly changing depending on your thoughts and the feedback you get from “the Universe”.  Descartes said, “I think, therefore I am”.  Does this mean we are our thoughts?  Or that it is thought that creates us?  Who is this “I”?  Most likely you have some idea to your answer to these questions and it is as valid as any I can offer, however since this is my blog I will offer up my answer.

Identity is like an onion with many layers each informing the whole as an aspect of the greater whole, the totality of existence.  As one aspect of this totality, Universal Intelligence or “All that is”, I am as I identify, and in each moment this identity takes the form of a role I play.  So I am not the role, but the role is who I am at the moment.  The role will shift often instantly from one to another and so does my identity from the perspective of the Universe, but not from my own perspective.  I see myself as unchanging (often we identify with our body) and so to really know who I am, I must interact with this Universe (other people, nature, etc.).  We know ourselves through others; they reflect back the identity I project.  This is done through thought, so what you think about yourself determines your identity in this world.  To know what this is one must engage life.  Looking in the mirror only shows you the exterior form, which is far from who you really are. This is one page in a very long book!  In the end the only way to know what is, is to know what isn’t.  This is the lesson we are each here to learn in our own way.  For more on this scroll to the bottom of this page, http://sequoiablessed.info/page5 and experience the Journey of Love!

Living In Authenticity

Are you being the person you most desire to be?  Not who you want to be, or even who you think you are, but the person at your core who drives your desires.  This requires shedding skins, like a snake.  As the snake grows it outgrows their present skin or identity if you will and it falls away, sometimes naturally and sometimes with assistance.  This is precisely what we do as we grow too, often without thinking about it because it is less literal and mostly metaphysical.

As above, So below… means when we grow we do it on all levels at once.  This is more obvious when you are young because life is mostly about growing, but this continues to happen throughout life.  As multi-dimensional beings we have many bodies not just the physical body we each identify with here on earth.  (Click here for more on Subtle Bodies)

The journey of discovery of self begins with intention and continues throughout life, the deeper you go the deeper it gets and this is indeed a good thing.  No worries about getting lost because all roads eventually lead home.  Have fun on this journey and at the same time do not get too attached.  The skin you live in today is not the same as the one you had as a child and is not the same as you will have on your death bed.  For some of us who are awake and aware this skin changes more rapidly than for others, it all depends on your intentions and desires.   The journey can take a side path which is often very fun at first and then gets tiresome quickly. Eventually though the journey becomes about seeking your most inner desires in order to connect to your innermost being or soul.  Does it really even matter what skin you wear?  Only if you believe it does!  Still it is important to honor the expression your path has drawn you to, meaning if you find yourself drawn to military things, honor that aspect of your being even if it seems to contradict other aspects of yourself such as gender expression.  If you find yourself being drawn to natural processes and nature then honor this path and explore.  Life has many blessings, gifts, and pleasant surprises.

So I ask once again, Are you being the person you most desire to be?  Are you being honest with yourself?  If not, then why?  What is the fear motivating this dishonesty? As you face your fears they fall away and this is what it takes to live an authentic life.

The Purpose of Medicine

The purpose of medicine is to help you shift your consciousness from unhealthy to healthy thoughts, to shift dis-ease to ease.   Illness arises from an imbalance in the body’s energy.  The creative process works in this order: thought, word, action/experience.  So if you can choose your thoughts carefully and support them in word good health will be the result/experience.  Of course this is a cycle, so the action/experience then leads to further thought and the cycle repeats.  At least two in the cycle must be changed in order for shift to occur.  “Wow, this medicine works great”, for instance (whether it actually works or not). And as long as thought is aligned with the words the result will be positive.

Medicine in our modern allopathic system treats the symptoms and not the dis-ease.  This does work, esp. if you believe that it does.  However the process involved in the medicine working is much like a filter on a movie projector lens.  The source of the illness stays the same, but your view of it changes and thus as you believe you are well, the symptoms are gone, your thoughts then shift the source to align with healing.  Just as the filter on the projector alters the image on the screen, medicine alters your perception of reality.  Medicine need not be prescription to work, however the stronger the belief it does work the better the result and this goes for mass consciousness too.  Meaning the more people believe a certain drug works, the more powerful the effect.

Your relationship with your doctor is vital to your recovery.  Why?  Because your thoughts about any situation determine the outcome.  Positive loving thoughts aid the situation and negative or doubtful thoughts hinder the healing process.  So if you like your doctor and think he/she is the greatest and/or the most capable, your healing experience will reflect this in the positive.

Like rearranging the items in a room for a different Fung Shui, surgery shifts the effects or removes symptoms to allow the mind to balance the thoughts to healthy!  So stay focused on being healthy even if the evidence seems contrary.
