No News is Good News

No News is Good News…. So, what exactly does this mean? On the surface it would mean not listening to the news means you can only focus on your personal world and keep things positive. However, this is not quite how things work. It is true you are the center of your world, and all things radiate from this biased center. Your own personal beliefs feed your experience of the world. Take the recent Pandemic for instance. How did that go for you? For me it was no biggie other than being stuck at home more than usual. I have 25yrs in the health care industry, so wearing a mask is ordinary. Of course, I am retired now, so staying home is also kind of normal for me. My family all got vaccinated and eventually we all got Covid. We were sick for a few days and felt bad for a few weeks and slowly life returned to normal. Way back in the day I had an AIDS exposure (needle stick), though I never got it. What is my armor? Positive thinking and loving action, simply put. Thoughts are things, so it is important to weed your garden so to speak. Getting back to the news, I remember reading Lao Tzu’s advice about this and have followed it to the best of my ability. Be the observer on the mountain, looking down on the valley where the armies battle. They will do what they do and all you need do is observe, think loving thoughts, and go about your business. Starving children in Africa? I bless them on their journey! Floods in Kentucky… I bless them their journey. Even when it hits home, like when my mom had a car crash and went to the hospital with severe lacerations. I bless her and her journey! All I can do is be supportive and helpful as appropriate. It is her journey after all. I play my role and do my best not to feed the fire. All is well.

The other side of “No News is Good News” comes down to trusting in life and not worrying when a loved one is traveling or working in a dangerous job, etc. Not hearing from the ER or Coroner is a good thing! My roommate had this unfortunate experience the exact same weekend, my mom passed. This is before I met her by the way. The coroner showed up at her door with news of her partner being killed in an accident. I worked in the ER for over 5 years, and I can definitely tell you, no news is good news! All this being said, here is the way I look at news. With Love, Agape Love, by my side I can handle anything. I am not looking for sad news, however I am prepared for it. I am the lighthouse! I am a beacon of Love! In all my time in health care I had the opportunity to practice compassion daily. This is what I loved about it most really. This helped me learn to be supportive without taking things personally. As Jesus tells us, be in the world, not of it. If you take things personally, your road will be most difficult. If you do that while in the service industry you will implode.

I remember taking a class on spiritual prayer and they covered watching the news. They taught us that the news is neutral until you react to it. It has no power without your energy. Take a deep breath here and let this soak in. Like the tree falling in the forest, the news makes no sound until someone hears it and makes it real. There is no forest (or news) until your mind makes it real. The more minds feeding the news the stronger it gets. No News is Good News! Quantum physicists tell us there is no “out there” out there. Or as my Dad would say, “its all in your head”. What I like to ask is “How does this serve me”? Everything that happens in your life serves you in some way. It is either a distraction or a lesson to learn from. Or as ACIM teaches, it is a forgiveness lesson. Forgive, forget, and move on!

A Cry For Love

The cry for love began at the beginning of time. For us personally this is birth. Our very birth is a cry for love from our parents. The cry has been echoing through time since the Big Bang. Echos repeating in every thought and every action.

Action itself is the cry and the form it takes has so many versions, none are exactly the same. I am that cry. You are that cry. Now let’s make this personal. I must speak from my own point of view. My dad is a physician and thus my hypochondria as a child, a cry for love. All my injuries, sicknesses, and dis-eases were my cry for love, some would call this attention seeking. I am an extension of my mom, her cries for love are heard through me. We project these cries through whomever is available! My dad cares for me here and seeded this existence. My Father is the Almighty, source of all there is. My Father is Truth, he is Reality. My mom brought me into this world, she cared for me, and she loved me the best she could. My Mother is the Earth and all in this world which supports me. Love is the Way.

Love me Father for I feel detached and unworthy. I seek what I perceive to lack. Love is who I am, yet I do not know this. Lost on a sea, the story repeats ad nauseam in every person (projection) ever. My journey takes me around the world, both literally and figuratively. Where is that goose? I know it is around here somewhere. When did it get away from me? Did I chase it away?

Seek and Ye shall find! The words of insanity! We are out of our minds. And thus the answer lay right in front of us. We have been looking for love in the wrong places. We seek it in mind. Our Spiritual leaders say we need to be “mindful”. Again the voice of ego. Love isn’t outside us, nor is it within mind or mind’s projection, the world around us, it IS us. Some would say, seek love with. The answer lies within. I say, within what? Love is all there is! Anything else we perceive is illusion, like a seeming reality, yet a mirage.

I stand under my actions. Since “birth” I have been looking for love without knowing it was me all along. I am the love I seek! It is not “seeing is believing”, it’s “Believing is seeing”, and yet even this does not make it real. Miracles are the magic! Miracles are expressions and perceptions of love. Magic is the illusion. We are all magicians in this way.

Unconsciously, we do things which we believe will bring us love, in varying forms. Attention is a form of love, Acceptance is a form of love, Sex is a form of love – though some transform it into hate, Accomplishment if a form of love, Giving is a form of love – this makes Receiving a form of love too, and this remains our motivation for everything we do. The choices are either crying out for love or understanding we are love and giving what we already have. Giving is receiving. Give what you seek and you’ll have all you need. By loving we are loved. This is the first principle of Oneness. Oneness is what makes this true. There is only One. To use Plato’s parable, there is only one person in the cave. All the other people are shadows, projections from different points of view. The choice is yours, be love or seek it.

Love Is

The reason Truth can be hard to find is because we look in the wrong places. It’s not out there, it is in here. Truth is Universal and while we all have personal truths, these are not definitive. My spiritual journey has taken me all over the map (figuratively). When I found A Course in Miracles, I knew I was home. Science of Mind was an important step on this journey along with the New Thought Movement and Centers for Spiritual Living (formally known as Religious Science). Many of our early experiences tell us where we do not belong and what does not work for us. I know this was my experience with Christianity in its many forms. The trick is knowing which voice to listen to. If it is painful in any way to anyone, then no, this is the voice of ego. Constantly, question reality, all ways, and always. Motivations and Identity

What motivates you? And Why? Today, I would like to look into motives for our actions and the root cause behind our choices. If you are a student of ACIM (A Course in Miracles) you will know what I am going to refer to because our fear of God or more accurately fear of being separate from God motivates all our actions. The key motivator I wish to look at more closely is the opposite of fear.

Love and our desire for it sits behind all our actions. Who we choose as friends, who we are nice to, who we suck up to, etc. is all based in our desire for love. Let’s face it, we all wish to be loved! And to have the opportunity to share love. The path here gets foggy, because ego love is very different from Agape Love or God’s Love which we really desire. So what is it we really desire? We desire ourselves! We feel separated… from everything and we seek connection to the essence of self. I am the love I seek!

Moving on to identity, how does this relate to our desire for love? As I have said many times and as many religions teach, God is all there is. So as I understand God, God is Love, Peace, and Joy. Meaning that what we really seek is Love, Peace, or Joy. I think of these 3 words as being the same with slightly different definitions. Hebrew teaches 4 words for love and Greek has 6. So, defining love depends on the context and intent. For me these days, I focus on the Only Love that matters Agape, God’s Unconditional Love or simply, Unconditional Love. The other types help with defining relationships in human contact, but that is all. When a person says, “I love you”, what do they really mean? Who is it they love? If we are all One, then they are saying they love themselves. To love you is to love myself! However, only loving myself is narcissistic. So, in order to truly love, we must have others (other self). This is the very reason for relationships!

If you look deep into your motivations I think you will find love at the source. Yes, fear may be on the surface and even covering the core, hiding the reality of love, but love is there if you look for it. When we look out into the world whatever it is we see we attempt to relate to it, if we can relate we “like” it and if we can’t then we “don’t like” it. It is a case of I am that or I am Not that. We vacillate through phases of identifying with things and not depending on the feedback, almost like a single cell organism reacts to pain or pleasure. I believe our long term relationships last because it is easy for us to identify with the person we have chosen as our partner. Same goes for family relationships, though we are more forgiving with family because of perception of blood ties. Or not, LOL. Because we feel close to family we will be harder on the relationship, expecting more from them. Still our motivation is Love. I find it easy to love my family and at the same time difficult to look deeply at them for it is looking deeply within myself.

In conclusion, be aware of your actions without any judgment. Projection makes perception, so know the world you see is of your own making and forgive! This forgiveness is not because it is real, only for the believing it is. We are forgiving ourselves for our part in the game. Knowing the person sitting across from you is your reflection can be sobering and inspiring. Loving them through thought is all that is required. Nothing need be said and in fact it is better not to say anything. The less said the better, as the saying goes. This process is allowing that which is holy to flow through you and be reflected. If your perception is otherwise, just know you can choose again. Stop, look, and listen. Love!

A Metaphysical Perspective

Though I have spoken of these before here are some metaphysical meanings which have changed the way I see the world. Condensed into one grouping, maybe they can help you too.

Jesus: Literally means “I am”, so when you see the word, Jesus, replace it with, I am, and see how that changes the meaning of what you are reading.

Lord: means “Law”, so replacing the statement, My Lord and Savior, would say My Law and Savior, taking this further, My Law is My Savior. My word is my gospel. It is telling us to be true to our word. I know this is a stretch, so if this does not work for you, then skip it. Still experiment with replacing the word Lord with Law and see how that sounds.

Sin: means “Missing the Mark”. Instead of feeling judgy when you use or hear the word Sin, know that they or you missed the mark. No worries, try again, with no guilt necessary.

Hope: means you can feel good about the situation. It does not mean things will work out. Hope is a false prophet. Think about this carefully and notice how you feel when you use this word. “I sure hope things work out”, really means “I have no idea things will work out, but I wish they would, and if they don’t I will at least feel OK in the mean time.” Hope is a way of avoiding the pain of life. Choosing faith instead will lead eventually to the highest and best good.

God: Everyone has their own understanding of this word and what it means, so find what works for you and stick with it.

Love: Another word for God and like that word must be made personal. Know how those around you understand it before using it. To say, I love you, can mean the world to someone or it can be meaningless. Frankly if I hear that said, I say of course, that is who we are! Other words I equate with God are Joy and Peace.

Christ: means “The Anointed One” or “Centered”. The meaning of ‘Jesus Christ’ then becomes, I am centered or the anointed one. So Jesus Christ is not some other person, it is a description of you! By proclaiming “Jesus Christ” it is a way of centering yourself. It literally brings your thoughts back to you. It centers you in reality!

Much of this is taught in Science of Mind or Centers for Spiritual Living. It is where I first learned it, though my understanding has deepened with the study of ACIM, A Course in Miracles. If you wish to know more I suggest researching further.

Morality for Pet Keepers

Moral ethical values equate to a person whose morality is reflected in his willingness to do the right thing – even if it is hard or dangerous. Someone doesn’t need to be moral to be ethical. There may be someone who has no moral compass but follows ethics to be in good standing with society. On the other hand, someone can violate ethics all the time because they believe something is morally good. So where does this leave us?

“He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.” (Emmanuel Kant) We all wish to be thought of as a good person and this starts by how we treat others. I have written before about the process of learning to love and just to summarize, we begin by caring for plants, then animals, then people. To be complete here this actually begins with loving the self, so the cycle goes full circle. Since the world is a projection of mind… your mind… what you see is what you are. I know this can seem harsh and you’re questioning its validity. This is a good thing. Don’t take my word or anyone’s as fact. Establish the fact through testing and self inquiry. I will say here, what I share has been tested by many wise individuals over time, so perhaps use this advice as a starting point for exploration.

The focus of this blog is on pets and the keepers of pets. Let’s be clear here, a pet is an animal kept by a person in their own space and for the pleasure of the keeper. “A pet, or companion animal, is an animal kept primarily for a person’s company or entertainment rather than as a working animal, livestock or a laboratory animal. … Pets can give companionship to people who are living alone or elderly adults who do not have adequate social interaction with other people.” (Dictionary.com)

A PET’S TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don’t be angry with me for long and don’t lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don’t understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I’m not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can’t bear to watch. Don’t make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

~Take a moment today to say thanks for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them.

Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without our beloved animal friends.

~We do not have to wait for Heaven, to be surrounded by peace, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth, sitting right beside you!

Obviously these commandments refer to dogs or perhaps cats, though they could also apply to any pet, mammal, reptile, or avian with wide variations in life span. Some reptiles and birds can out live the pet keeper. Notice I do not use the word, owner. We do NOT own our pets, we are custodians and companions. We often pay for this privilege, but this is about our market system and not about owning a living being. I find this concept imperative to good relationships of any kind. Anyone with an animal friend can relate! The Master/Serf concept went out a very long time ago. How you think of your pet will reflect in all your relationships, so be aware.

Now let’s take this to a new level, a Spiritual Perspective, because many of us never consider the spiritual benefit of the pet keeper experience. This may be deep for some, so if you have questions I am happy to assist and I will provide a link to The Law of One (LOO) below. This is a quote from a discussion group I belong to concerning LOO.

“Are pets that have been taken in and nurtured by humans considered second density or third density beings? (2nd Density Growth = biological life, 3rd Density Self-Awareness = The density of choice between service to self or service to others, humanity)

I understand that the criteria for 3D is to become inspirited / self aware, so I’m wondering if pet’s are considered self-aware?

Answer from a member of the group: Ra says that pets are “perhaps” the most common occurrence of second density harvesting to third. (meaning the animal becomes human in the next incarnation) I’m generous and I expand “pet” to mean “any domesticated plant or animal that is being taken care of by a human” – it’s my belief that when we remove an entity from its natural environment, give it a place to live, feed it, choose how/when/ if it reproduces, and love it, then we are individuating that entity from the group mind and projecting a third density awareness, be it rock, flower, or parakeet.

Quote from the book, The Law of One – the teachings of Ra:

19.2 > Questioner: Let’s take the point at which an individualized entity of second density is ready for transition to third. Is this second density being what we would call animal?

Ra: I am Ra. There are three types of second density entities which become, shall we say, inspirited. The first is animal. This is the most predominant. The second is the vegetable, most especially that which you call sound vibration complex “tree”. These entities are capable of giving and receiving enough love to become individualized. The third category is mineral. Occasionally a certain location, place as you may call it, becomes energized to individuality through the love it receives and gives in relationship to a third density entity which is in relationship to it. This is the least common transition.

20.3 > Questioner: So more and more second density entities are making it into third density. Can you give me an example of a second density entity coming into third density, say, in the recent past?

Ra: I am Ra. Perhaps the most common occurrence of second density graduation during third density cycle is the so called pet.

The animal which is exposed to the individualizing influences of the bond between animal and third density entity, this individualization causes a sharp rise in the potential of the second density entity so that upon the cessation of physical complex the mind/body complex does not return unto the undifferentiated consciousness of that species, if you will.

Question from a member of the group: So what I’m understanding is that the domesticated animal / plant would still be in 2nd density however it’s awareness/consciousness has been greatly heightened therefore accelerating it towards 3rd density. But a cat remains in 2D whilst it still has a cat body complex. Or can a cat have a 3D awareness yet a 2D body?

Answer from same member of the group above: A cat absolutely can have 3D awareness in a 2D body. Ra talks fairly extensively about the group’s cat, Gandalf, who was third density harvestable in his previous lifetime but still came back as a cat. Ra also said Gandalf could come back again, as a cat, if he wanted. 2D entities can definitely begin the lessons of 3D.

30.13 > Questioner: I was wondering if the male cat, Gandalf, has benefited by that mechanism in some way or by other mechanisms in increasing spiritual potential or understanding.

Ra: I am Ra. We examine this information and find it harmless. The second density entity, sound vibration Gandalf, is a rare sample of its species due first to previous individualization, secondly due to a great amount of investment in this particular life experience. This is the greatest catalyst in this entity’s progress. It is very unusual, as we have said. However, the experiences of bisexual reproduction which were of the nature of the entity Gandalf were to a small extent of spiritual benefit due to an unusual relationship with another entity, this also what you call a cat. This entity also being of an unusually third density orientation or investment from a previous life experiences. Thus the formation of what could be seen to be recognizably love did exist in this relationship.

Response from Cameron: Perfect, that clears up everything that I was trying to understand. Thank you for taking the time to find and share this.

To find out more about LOO, go to www.lawofone.info

This all demonstrates the deeper spiritual benefits of Pet keeping. To state it simply, our relationships with our pets boosts both the pets growth as well as the keepers. It is all about service! I will not go into the details of service to self (STS) and service to others (STO) as this discussion would be extensive. They are fairly self explanatory. One is no more “right” than the other, though the STS path is difficult and eventually ends in 6th density where both paths become one in service to the Prime Creator. Think of this however works for you. The important thing is service and respecting Free Will. All crimes of mankind come down to violations of free will. To serve the self often requires these violations, for example, murder is a violation of free will. One is literally removing the others choice to live. This applies equally to pets as it does to people or any living being. Thus the Buddhist (and several others) teaching of respecting all living beings. Violations lead us to judgment and guilt, so I will briefly broach this by saying, Judge not lest ye be judged, or more directly, to judge another is to judge the self because they are yourself. Guilt is a tool of the ego mind (the separated mind). So guilt serves only to divide and cause pain where none is required. These principles are explained in A Course in Miracles (ACIM) and in LOO, so I will not go into them here.

Speaking of Free Will, the topic of domestication needs to be covered. Is it our right to take animals out of nature and keep them as pets? Is this a violation of free will? The answer is not clear, at least to me. Often the animal will have a more comfortable and easy life in domestication. Though the life will not be in harmony with nature and exposes the animal to harms which do not exist otherwise. It can be a great service to the animal to provide your 3D love and attention. Ultimately we each have to answer this question for ourselves. The power of the mind to rationalize anything we choose to do is frightening sometimes. Proceed with caution and with caring. Keep a mindset of Service to Others! (if you have chosen the STS path you would not likely be reading this blog)

Our pets are windows into loving and knowing ourselves. To have a pet is a great privilege, so treat the relationship as such. We serve the pet by caring for it and the pet serves us by sharing love and companionship. This caring can be extended to life itself and takes many forms. Share this love in any way you feel serves both you and others. “It is one of the most beautiful compensations in life, that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

Blessings on your Journey of Love!

The Message is Clear

A Course In Miracles (ACIM) has a clear and simple message. God is all there is. There is nothing else. “Nothing real can be threatened – Nothing unreal exists. Here in lies the Peace of God.” ACIM

The journey leads us to see this reality by seeing God in everyone. This is Not about anthropomorphizing God, rather seeing the world metaphysically. This helps prevent the ego from taking hold. Most of what we see in this world is a distraction, especially when it comes to activities, including work, busi-ness, and play. Ego attracts us to these activities promising happiness and gives us just enough to keep the distractions viable. Be aware. Nothing this ego world offers will persist. It all passes away eventually, so why invest in it? Build your house up in Heaven as is taught in the bible. Not to say we should ignore life here. “Be in the world, but not of it.” as Jesus shows us. The beggar will be the Master and vice versa, meaning both that it’s all temporary and dualistic. What we give is what we receive. Another aspect to this is the saying “it takes one to know one”. Consider this deeply. Every coin has two sides, see the whole coin and not just the sides. To heal another to is heal the self.  To condemn another is to condemn the self.  A practical application is to view your immediate surroundings as a reflection of you. Our world is literally a bubble limited by sight. Anything outside this bubble is projected from mind and does not exist in reality. This can be confusing, I know since I have been studying it for decades. ACIM does a great job of explaining all this as do two of my favorite authors, Gary Renard and Eckhart Tolle. Eckhart’s book, A New Earth, does an amazing job of explaining the tricks of the ego mind. The text of ACIM can be difficult to understand since it is written in Iambic Pentameter and in the language of a bible. Gary Renard’s books cut through all this and lay it out bare for the mind to absorb. “Disappearance of the Universe” is the place to start reading Gary Renard.

So to sum this all up, “As you see them (other self), you will see yourself”… so seek God/Holy Spirit/Infinite Intelligence/Great Spirit/Allah… and you will find your way home. (which according to ACIM we never left) Many spiritual teachings refer to awakening and how appropriate this is, since this ego dream has trapped us for too long. Be still… and know God.

Ego Separation

Life seems a bit crazy these days and it is, at least in our minds. ACIM (A Course in Miracles) teaches us that the world is a reflection of mind, a projection of all our thoughts. Knowing all this is unreal doesn’t really help in the short term though, so what’s a person to do. How about rest, relax, and let go!

The tenets of ACIM state the ego represents separation ideology. Truth dictates Oneness, Unity, and God is all there is. Ego is the opposite. Looking out at the world is the essence of ego. (Don’t confuse the ego of psychology which equates ego with personality) Mankind’s greatest fear is to look in the face of God and know this world, this self, this identity is untrue. So it puts up invisible walls. It projects the ugliness outside itself or what it perceives as outside. Some call this the “not me’s”. I am not like that, not me!

Our current experience with the corona virus is a perfect example of the ego at work. Social Distancing becomes the answer. Although in reality it is a symptom of the greater world of the Ego, separation. The mind has taken this ball and run with it. No turning back now! I am not going to get sick or die, so stay away from me, is the ego’s thought. A separation idea. Separate from what you might ask? God of course. Our arrogant idea that we can be separate from God is what has led to guilt or as some call it, original sin.

To me this is only a natural extension of the ego mind… an expanding Universe! We are individuals, free to make choices, and live our own lives. Each and every “thing” in this world is separate from all else. Or at least that is what the ego believes and thrives on. As we now know, this is all a dream fabrication. There is nothing to forgive, because we are still where we belong, with God. Though dreaming a dream of dying.

Oneness – Beyond Thought

“Welcome to Oneness Ministry

Explore, Discover, and Experience our Oneness. Know thyself and you will know the world! We are dedicated to revealing Truth using our guide, Jesus and his teachings in A Course in Miracles.

The Journey of Love is about acceptance and non-judgment. We are Spiritual Beings not these vessels we use to interface with this world. There are no limitations with Mind. The One Mind, the only Mind, the Mind of God. Holy Spirit is here to show the way.” (https://onenessministry.info/)

The Above is the intro to our website Oneness Ministry. Upon review I feel like Oneness needs more explanation. All my pages here are related to oneness, some more than others. We cannot be too focused on Oneness, why? Because it is the essence of all existence. “Know thyself and you will know the world!” Simply stated, by knowing yourself, you know everything! This is Oneness, You, me, others… all of the One. It all seems separate – an illusion of ego mind. Most of the time connections are invisible, we see other people, places, and things as Other and this is right, they are Other Self. They are us projected into the world so we can know ourselves. This is both reassuring and terrifying!

“The Journey of Love is about acceptance and non-judgment.” So our journey here is to accept it all as One and most importantly not to judge it as good or bad or other at all. The Eastern Religions and teachings are less cryptic about this teaching than say Christianity, though all religions teach these concepts. Judge not, lest ye be judged! Do onto others as you would have done onto you! Take these cliches literally. There is no one else to judge or to do upon!

“We are Spiritual Beings not these vessels we use to interface with this world. There are no limitations with Mind. The One Mind, the only Mind, the Mind of God. Holy Spirit is here to show the way.” This comes from ACIM, A Course in Miracles which is the direct channeled teachings of Jesus. So what does it mean to be a Spiritual Being? We are not the observer, we are not the action taker, we are not even the master mind, we are Spirit, that which is beyond time and space. Spirit is reality… all that is real. “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.” (ACIM) So to explain this further, our lives are dreams or projections of mind. The aspect of Mind which believes itself to be separate from God, the Ego. While there is only One Mind, the Mind of God, we are constantly choosing between the false and the true, unconsciously most of the time. What we see, hear, feel, touch, taste is of ego mind. In fact an easy way to distinguish the false from the true is to know God, to know yourself. (My eBook Livin’ Large Ch. 12 goes into this further)

According to ACIM Holy Spirit is our go between and guide home. God knows nothing of this world and has nothing to do with what happens here, which frankly, explains a lot! Our choice is between Ego and Holy Spirit. It is as simple as that. Ego makes things complicated, Spirit is simple. As we say, we are giving up nothing (the ego or unreal) and receiving everything! (Spirit, who we are, the real)

Specialness

The biggest failure of my personal lifetime is gender transition and yet it is also the greatest success. Let me explain. Upon deep reflection and shadow work along with many years of Spiritual Study I have come to realize the motivation behind “transgenderism”. I will just say right now that sex has almost nothing to do with it! We all have the basic need to be loved and to love others. Family is where this starts, for most of us at least. I was born into a middle class family and had both my parents, along with a sibling before me and after. My “cry for love” (need for attention) was no different than any others. My parents did their very best and I can honestly say I had a wonderful childhood. Yet I developed a need to be noticed, an inner cry for love. So who was denying me this love? I was of course. At first my cries for attention where health based since Dad was a physician and this is what I came to know first.

Mom was a model in her younger days and she got quite the attention. She was also tall and perhaps she got more attention than she really wanted. Children model after whom raises them and such, Mom was my role model. I saw the attention she got and I know she was loved, I could see it everywhere. I wished to be like her. To get love, probably, but also to model love. The ego finds multitudes of ways to get attention, being trans* is just one of them. Any deviance is a cry for love. It is the ego crying look at me, I am special! I see this clearly now and have for several years, though it is clearer than ever today.

The ego’s desire for specialness reinforces the separation idea it is based on. Death does this also in just the opposite way, for everyone dies! These ideas of separation are at the root of every issue anyone and everyone in this world has ever had. We fear we are separate from God, that we have been expelled from the Garden of Eden. The wool so to speak has brilliantly been pulled over our eyes. Some would call this the veil of forgetting. I remember now and have for some time. We are One and this means there is no one else, no thing else, … God is all there is. By shining this light the darkness vanishes. Fear cannot exist in the Light. The more Light I shine, the less fear (false evidence appearing real) exists.

We are each familiar with the rules of the game so to speak, both of the dream world and the physical world. Neither of these is reality. This being said, it is what we know, for now. So it is best to face this world we have created with Love, why? Because Love is what and who we are. Remember, Love is reality. This is how you will know where your thoughts are taking you, if it dies or changes then it is not real. The answer is always love, every time you respond differently a barrier is created. The road home is paved in Love. Any obstacle is your own resistance to this Truth.

We are not here to change anything, so we must embrace who we are and even who we appear to be. As our awareness grows and answers flow in, this does not mean we must act, in fact, I would suggest no action. If you feel like someone else sometimes, I would suggest this comes from greater awareness. I feel and act more female than male in my opinion and thus my transition, nothing wrong with this. Though nothing is right either. What is Is. It’s about learning to love it. “It’s not about getting what you want, but wanting what you get!”

My goal now is to see with new eyes. To see Truth, Love, Reality! Everywhere! This requires faith to see beyond the surface, to see beyond emotion and feelings, to see beyond even Thought. I am on the road and life keeps getting better and better. Not because life is getting better, but because I am becoming more. Some call this awakening. In reality, there is no better, all is perfection. This perfection is what I realize now.

Footnote:

For those who would like to better understand the ego I recommend a few books, the best being ACIM, A Course in Miracles, the other is Eckhart Tolle’s book, A New Earth. Of course there are many other books on ACIM, I like Gary Renard’s books because he makes it interesting and understandable.

Distractions

What is our compulsion with doing? I am sure you can relate. That feeling something must be done! Even if it’s trivial, esp. if it’s trivial! LOL. This underlying urge to create, to do, to be productive consumes us all. Why?

A Course in Miracles explains that its about distracting you from yourself, from the One thing we just cannot face! God. More specifically our separation from God, or the belief we are separate. The answer is simple, we are not separate, never have been, never will be. God is all there is.(period)

So why does this knowledge not help? I have been studying ACIM for 10yrs solid and working up to it for 5 yrs previous. What is my resistance all about? Why am I constantly sabotaging myself? Perhaps this fear runs deeper than I thought. In fact, this fear is totally subconscious and for each of us the sea runs to different depths.

I sit here doing an inventory of my distractions and realized it pretty much all is a distraction. The aquarium hobby, (hobby’s in general), the internet, entertainment – especially, and even eating, drinking, and sleeping. I dream when sleeping and this too is a distraction. My ego is hard at work; it never sleeps. The ego mind is our conscious mind, the part which will not under any circumstance look at the Truth. Not the personality ego, but the ego which defines identity. ACIM describes ego differently than mainstream psychology, FYI.

ACIM teaches we have two choices at all times. Ego (individual identity) or Holy Spirit (our pathway back to God, which we never left, i.e choosing Love [realizing love is all there is]). Every religion has taught this to some extent. We must choose the devil (D evil) or God (Good), wrong or right! This is where other religions depart from ACIM. I speak of duality – the two choices. ACIM points out there really is only One choice since God is all there is how could we choose any thing else? SO it’s not really a choice but a realization. ACIM does not teach Love, but instead teaches us to remove the blocks to our awareness of love. Love is all there is! To clarify I use several words as synonyms for God, mainly these 3, Love, Joy, & Peace. Light also has its uses, but not strictly in place of God. There is another teaching I follow called the Law of One – The Teachings of Ra. They speak of Love/Light and Light/Love, though this is a duality POV, it comes from a place of non-duality. Think time/space and space/time here, opposite yet supporting dimensions.  I digress once again.  Thinking is a distraction too!

I encourage those who are interested to explore ACIM and Law of One further. I will say, be prepared, it will take years to grasp these teachings fully. It is a fun and fulfilling path though. So without any further distraction I will sign off here, knowing that this very blog is a distraction! LOL

Who are you?

Identity exists in the mind and is seen in the people, places, and things we encounter throughout our day. How important is identity? Does it change? Are you still the same person you were a decade ago? These are questions which I play with constantly. It makes me feel good to question reality, to question my identity, and to question existence itself. Thus I sit here this evening doing just this. Who am I? Who am I in relation to you? Who are you?

Alas, the answer is complicated to say the least. Or is it? I feel like I have answers on a Spiritual level or an Ultimate Reality level, however this material world baffles me. It sure seems real even though I have been assured that it is not. The teachings in A Course in Miracles maintain this world is a projection of my mind, which is not really “my” mind but Ego Mind. Ego is the interface of the construct we call “reality”. We have been given powerful tools for interacting here, 5 physical senses, 6 mental tools, and umpteen beliefs upon which we base our actions.  Just like a TV set, the Ego is not who I am.  Thru ACIM my understanding has deepened greatly. I see so much clearer these days, except when it comes to daily life. It really all comes down to identity. How I identify determines my role to play, what I should do, and where I should go. The thing is, I have long established beliefs that conflict with my current identity. Which, by the way, was repressed for over 30 years. I can’t explain it, other than to say this is my forgiveness lesson. I must accept it and learn to live it. Doesn’t feel like I am doing very well with this. Though my life situation at the moment is very good. I have all that I need, I feel content, and well taken care of. I have others to care for and this is enough. My theory is I am getting very close to the end (of illusion) and the ego fears its end, so the disharmony and misdirection has been peaked.

The answer is simple. Love is the answer, always and all ways. The trick is to remember this in the moment. I go with the flow and be the observer, judging not, while seeking divine truth all the while. A good example of this just occurred. I am listening to New Age with a Native American flair and thinking I feel so connected, yet I did a DNA test and know I have no Native American in me at all. So what if it is not in me but rather the Earth or location I am in right now. Since I live in CO, this all used to be Native land. Even where I grew up, used to be Cherokee country. So perhaps this means location informs all who live here. Nature informs Nurture. I suppose this is the function of travel. Living in Mexico or India or wherever will inform the thoughts I experience. Even the Earth is traveling though space and as we move influences shift. This all relates to the Mind, so nothing is really moving, it is just the consciousness shifting. I maintain that if we attempt to live on another planet eventually we will stop being Human and become Martians or whatever. Not that Mars exists mind you, LOL.

Refined Message

What is our purpose? I’ve been asking myself why I even keep these websites. What I should do with them if anything. So here is what I came up with. A refined Manifesto.

My purpose and lot in life is to love and accept myself and the dream I have created. There is no more sobering thought than to realize you are the source of your nightmares. All the pain you have ever felt is on you. There is no one else, not really. “All else” or “other” is a projection from mind, your mind, the only mind. Our whole sense of self is based on Ego, this is the very definition of identity. If you think you exist, then this is the Ego. It is not good or bad, it is just the filter used to experience the world around you… to Know thy self!

Sometimes this image gets blurred and we think the “Other” is who we are. On the greater levels this is true, however on this limited Ego level it is not. I am you and you are me, though the Ego exists to further refine what you and me are. Ego is separation. All in this world is separate and represents the Ego (not the personality as Freud presented, but the entire “self”). I have come to believe that gender itself is an ego construct and Transgender is a confusion of this primary construct. We are born male, female or intersex, this cannot be changed in this lifetime. Sex is simply our Identity construct, it may define our life this time around, but it is by no means fixed in reality. Gender by the way is not Sex, these aspects are separate and yet intertwined. In the Ego world, there are shades of gray or color. A rainbow represents separation of light… thus the Ego. A perfect symbol for anyone who identifies with being human, special, or different. Yes, we appear to be unique, but this is only a perception – a desire by the Ego to be special or somehow better than other. The way to work though this is presented in A Course in Miracles. I will not go into it further and leave it up to you to explore.

I will not tell anyone else what to think or what is right or wrong, because that depends on your perspective and point of view. Being Transgender is real if you think it is. It cannot be denied, as I tried for 30 yrs and it kept coming back. When you get a obsessive idea the only way to get over it is to move through it. It could be called a problem, but in reality it is just an idea. Consuming, yes. So accept it and move through it. Face it head on. Fear = false evidence appearing real. Even death is false. I have died many times or at least my Ego has. Love is real and can not be destroyed. Whatever is “killed or dies” is unreal. Know this and life becomes a Joy. By “Know” I mean no doubt whatsoever.

So, if you have the impulse to crossdress then go for it. If you wish to sleep with the same sex or deny sex all together, go for it. However, if you have the impulse to harm anyone including yourself then take a step back. Tell someone about these feelings. Talk it out and take no action. The question is what does “harm” mean? I have been over that many times. Is it harmful to Transition? Is it harmful to die? Does shattering the concept others have of you qualify as harmful? There is the simple principle of “what you do to another, you do to yourself”. So perhaps transition is just passing your own confusion off to others close to you (other self). As you see the “other” you will see yourself. There is also the principle that we learn through experience, so unless we transition no lesson is learned. Pain is inevitable, suffering is up to you. I am not responsible for your suffering, even if I am responsible for your pain. We each have free will. There are no easy answers to these questions, there are only your answers. I have answered them for myself. I invite you to explore these questions and do your best. Live life and don’t apologize! Only you can ultimately judge you, so be kind.

Discrimination and American Values

The United States of America has traditionally been mostly Christian or some variant. Though the beauty of our country is we respect all beliefs and our constitution protects our right to believe what we Will (as in power, not action). These rights go both ways though. While we have the right to our beliefs we do not have the right to force them on others. Discrimination is a sticky pickle for a very simple reason. A very basic spiritual principle that every religion teaches says “Do onto others as you would have them do on to you”. Another way to say this is “What you do to another, you do to yourself” or “What you give you receive”.

Let’s apply this to discrimination. If a person tells another don’t judge me, then they have to practice this as well if they expect the other person to comply. If someone refuses to socialize with what they perceive to be the “other” or “those who are not like them” then they are giving this “other” the right to do so also. In effect this person is creating separation, not only from the “other” but from themselves as well! By being afraid to socialize with this “other” they perpetuate the very thing they are afraid of.

In a Course in Miracles Jesus teaches us to see beyond appearances, to find the divine in everyone and in everything, not because it is really there, not because there is a separate objective reality, but because there is NOT. Everything we experience is a projection from our own mind and is intended to awaken us from our dreams of dying, from being separate. This is Unity, Oneness, Truth. So when confronted with hateful, discriminating, mean other self, know that it is your own self reflected back and forgive. Just knowing how all this works makes it so much easier to be kind, thoughtful, and loving. Everything/everyone you encounter is either a statement of Love or a cry for Love. You get to choose where you look and what you see. It’s easy if you allow it to be. Resistance is Futile, LOL. Persistence pays.

Jesus teaches that a Miracle is simply choosing Love over fear. Every day we experience miracles without even knowing it. Now you know what a Miracle life is. This is what our founding fathers intended to protect. If we take an other’s right to discriminate away then we are trapping ourselves. (Not to mention violating free will!) Let them hate you, this gives you the opportunity to forgive them and in doing so forgive yourself. It may seem counter intuitive, but it works. I have tested it. Another thing Jesus teaches us is to turn the other cheek. If someone strikes you, offer the other cheek also. I tested this and was amazed by the result. Fear disappeared and Love is all that remained.

Transgender Regret

Is it real? Do trans* individuals have regret? How can anyone know what is “real”? I have been studying this all my life. The fact is that you cannot know what works till you try it. This is why when the Standards of Care for Transgenders was first established they had a mandatory trial period. Live as a woman for 2 yrs and if this works then move on with CHT and Surgery. Yet over the years this has become less and less till now it does not exist at all. In fact the whole treatment is a recommendation only and totally relies in the judgment of the patient. While I do agree we should have final say here I also know that we are too close to see the truth.

“After de-transitioning, I know the truth: Hormones and surgery may alter appearances, but nothing changes the immutable fact of your sex.” (https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/voices/2019/02/11/transgender-debate-transitioning-sex-gender-column/1894076002/)

My comment on the above article: I would say I knew this going in, but would not accept it. It’s good that Walt got the therapy he needed to heal. Suffering is inevitable in this life, so have no regrets about that. At the age of 58 (transitioned at 45), I feel like gender is meaningless and sex is fixed at birth. I was warned repeatedly and yet I “had” to do it or would die. Just how I felt. I focus more on Spirituality now and less on the physical which does change. Spirit never changes and this is the rock I need. I am not my body, I am free….

“Yet, in hindsight, after transitioning from male to female and back again, I see that many important topics are ignored by such advice, placing vulnerable people at risk. Four crucial omissions are most obvious and problematic.” https://www.thepublicdiscourse.com/2017/04/19080/ Read the article for these 4 valid points.

Alas the power of the mind. We have no concept of just how powerful we really are. It is our dream after all. Yes, I know now that life is but a dream so I “row, row, row”. Actually during transition I dove deeply into Spirituality, not religion mind you, but spirituality. I found ACIM (A Course In Miracles). A famous ACIM author refers to life here as “psycho-planet” and basically the course teaches that life as we know it is Ego, not ego as Freud defines it, but more like everything you experience. It is easy to understand how a transgender mindset can take hold in a world that hates you (because you hate yourself). ACIM teaches the Ego is trying to kill you, because this would prove that the Ego is real, that death is real. Jesus is teaching us just the opposite. The ego sends us on wild goose chases that end back where you started and Transgender is a perfect example of this. Instead of seeing perfection we are taught to see fault. We are sinful at birth according to Christianity. The world is based on guilt! ACIM teaches forgiveness, not because we are sinful, but because we are Not. Because we mistakenly bought into the whole delusion.

So do I regret Transitioning? Yes, and No. Deep down I knew the result before I started. It’s not about the destination, but the journey. I needed this journey. I needed to get over my fear of Love, my need for acceptance, and most of all my feelings of guilt associated with it all. Yes, I do have a very strong feminine drive, yet I was born male. Some say that is the very definition of transgender. There is nothing wrong with me though, and I know it. Gender and even physical sex is an ego mind manifestation. There are rules to life here on psycho-planet and one of them is sex is fixed. Gender is more of a mindset or concept than a reality. I actively seek the good in life (the dream) so I can awaken to the truth. God is all there is, there is no “me”; “I” is ego. Letting go of this while focusing on Holy Spirit is the way home. For more on ACIM, I recommend “Disappearance of the Universe” by Gary Renard. For more on Trans* Regret, just scour the internet. I found story after story, some ending with suicide and others with life going on. Walt Heyer is the later.

A Boy Erased

“Jared Eamons, the son of a small-town Baptist pastor, must overcome the fallout after being outed as gay to his parents. His father and mother struggle to reconcile their love for their son with their beliefs. Fearing a loss of family, friends and community, Jared is pressured into attending a conversion therapy program. While there, Jared comes into conflict with its leader and begins his journey to finding his own voice and accepting his true self. Movie trailer – https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=-B71eyB_Onw “

This blog is about my take on conversion therapy and how it could work if done with some humility and humanity. I am not really reviewing the movie, though I do recommend you see it if you are the least bit interested after watching the trailer. It makes a clear statement that conversion therapy does not work and it is criminal to subject minors to it. My task is not to judge others actions or choices. My task is to see with Love. To ask, what would love do now? What is the humane thing to do?

Since I do have personal experience being Trans* my opinion comes from that perspective, though I also can see it from other perspectives, it is just one of my practiced super powers. I teach Oneness and with that said you may have some idea what I am going to say here. Love is the answer, plain and simple. The issue is most of us don’t know what that looks like. I used to ask anyone I thought may have an answer (parents, grandparents, counselors, coaches, etc.) and frankly no one did. God was the only one who had the answer. Getting answers from God is not difficult, but you do need to know what you are hearing is from God and not ego (I don’t believe in the devil or evil for that matter). ACIM (A Course in Miracles) goes into detail on how to hear the voice for God/Love, so I recommend becoming a student. The course is not for the faint of heart, it takes at least a year to get through it and probably the rest of your life to process and fully understand it. It was the best decision of my life to make the choice to follow Jesus’s teachings as put forth in ACIM.

The Bible has its wisdom, but one must really search for it. The books have been butchered by ego over the years which have left the teachings greatly watered down and in some cases are simply misleading. So I don’t fault Christian’s for not really understanding Jesus. Conversion therapy probably makes sense to them. Homosexuality is not a path to polarization as is taught in all Spiritual teachings. I know of no religion that says it a good thing. At best they teach to accept it and judge not. Our sexuality is set at birth they say and I have no argument against that. I believe now that once a person is born male or female they are always that sex, no matter what surgery or hormones they take. I had to learn this first hand; they say experience is the best teacher <G>. Gender on the other hand is another topic which I will not get into now other than to say, it is not as fixed as we are lead to believe.

So how could conversion therapy work? In the beginning of the “camp” the exercises focus on self esteem and self worth. YES!! Absolutely important. Then they say being Gay is a behavioral choice and to this I disagree, however acting on who you are is a choice. Say for instance you are attracted to young girls… acting on this thought is a choice! Masturbation is a viable alternative to molesting or taking advantage of an other. So my teaching is Just say NO to your urges and find a non-harmful release (masturbation, exercise, cold shower, etc.) rather than trying to fit into a community, be it LGBT or other. Look not for the love you seek in others. Those who seek outside themselves go without. After this they detour into labeling and shaming the self and family rather than seeking the innocence and beauty of who the individual and their family is. The answer is to accept who you are and who others identity as. This is the way… Love. It is not up to anyone else to tell you who you are, only you know this. And if you don’t know this and you may not at a young age then it is up to you to figure it out. It took me 50yrs, so don’t be in a hurry. In the end Identity is not as fixed as we are lead to believe either. It changes every time your life does. You join the military… your identity changes, you leave one church to join another… your identity changes. You have children, etc.

I believe we are all bi-sexual! Don’t tell me you have never considered same sex intimacy! Even if it was a fear. Sex by the way is not a weapon! Though many use it for power. Sex has nothing to do with Love either. I can see this blog is getting long so I will wrap this up. My eBook Sex and Sexuality has a chapter on Sex as Communication, so read this for more on Love. We all simply desire to be loved and accepted as we are; to not be judged. What you give you receive. This sums it up. The more you respect others the more respect you receive! Love comes in different forms on earth, but in heaven we are all One and Love is all there is. So this is what we all secretly desire. To be home again! Though don’t expect to find this here on psycho planet. (read Gary Renard’s books on ACIM to learn more about this)

ACIM Practicality

ACIM can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:

“Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.”

What exactly does this mean for the average person? How do we apply the wisdom of A Course in Miracles? I mean if we can’t use it then what’s its worth? This is about changing our mind, not the world which does not even exist.

Let’s break this down word for word. “No-thing which actually exists is ever in real danger.” The Course teaches us that no-thing exists in this world we see around us. It is like a dream, an illusion that seems very real, but is not actually real. Meaning We (our essence or actual self) cannot be harmed in any way. We pretend to die, get injured, become sick, but in actuality this is all make believe. We are dreaming that we are separate from the Infinite Creator/Great Spirit/God. This separation makes all the bad things possible, it makes bad itself possible, because as we all know Infinite Creator/Great Spirit/God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. If we are separate then we cannot be this.

What the Course is saying is Infinite Creator/Great Spirit/God is all there is. There is nothing else, if it seems otherwise it’s an illusion. The physical seems rea, however we are deceiving ourselves. In a duality the opposite is true. No-thing unreal exists! We just don’t understand what is “real”. Infinite Creator/Great Spirit/God is all that is real. The Course uses many pages to explain this and clarify what is “real” and what is “unreal”. I can just say it is worth the effort to fully understand this distinction. Read the Course, do the exercises, and apply ACIM forgiveness as necessary in your life.

You will find that many of the words used in the Course have different meanings than what you think, so use books like Gary Renard’s and websites like Foundation for A Course In Miracles to explore this further. I have been at this for almost 20 years now and I am getting close to really understanding it. ACIM is a lifestyle change, it is something you give your life to, it is NOT something you read in a few days and move on.

The last sentence provides purpose and shows us the simplicity of Truth. “Herein lies the peace of God”. It basically says all is well, it can be nothing else. We are Infinite Creator/Great Spirit/God, not just a part of it, but all of it. There is but One, the One, Infinite Creator/Great Spirit/God, anything else is illusion or dreamtime. Peace is all there is! I use 3 words interchangeably – Joy, Love, and Peace. These 3 words are synonymous with Infinite Creator/Great Spirit/God.

Depression, sadness, or despair cannot exist in “reality”, so choose again. ACIM teaches that we have but two choices in a dualistic world, the real or the unreal. The world you see is “unreal” and the world of God is “real”. They are mutually exclusive. Choose one or the other. There is no inbetween, no divine in this world. We choose between duality and non-duality or Oneness. Give up the unreal and you can have the real… give nothing for everything! The good news is this choice has already been made. Reality, Oneness, the Real, God, is all that really exists and never ends. Dreams do end and ours is over.

Top Ten Spiritual Authors

Here is my list of top Spiritual Authors. I started to do a list of books and then realized there are way too many, so I will list the authors names and review why I like them so much. Creating a list like this is always difficult because invariably someone gets left out. So I encourage you to follow your intuition (gut, heart, etc. just not your head!) The author you most need to read depends on where you are on the path, so don’t take the ranking too seriously. I will list in order of my discovery.

First on the list is Ernest Holmes (Science of Mind). The Centers for Spiritual Living formally known as Religious Science Church sprang up around the teachings of this man. He did the logical thing and looked for the common thread in all the worlds religions and condensed it into his now famous book, Science of Mind. All his books are great and CSL has many other authors worth reading if this resonates with you.

Second on the list is Dr. Deepak Chopra. He has written so many books and most of them are wonderful, although he has become mainstream and a bit new agey. Wisdom is there if you look for it. His books helped me a lot in the beginning of my “Journey of Love”.

Third on the list is Dr. Wayne Dyer. Again he has written so many books with deep wisdom. I find his books are both practical and fun to read. A great place to start a Spiritual exploration.

Fourth on the list is Neale Donald Walsch, Conversations with God series. He is no doubt a master of the English language. A true wordsmith! I love reading from his perspective. These books are truly a gift to mankind!

Fifth on the list is James Twyman, an internationally renowned, best-selling author, filmmaker and musician who has a reputation for traveling to some of the world’s greatest areas of conflict, sharing his message of peace. He founded a contemporary version of the Beloved Community and has many creative works to share on the topic of Spirituality. In 2007 I was Ordained by him as a Spiritual Peacemaker and my life has never been the same. Blessings of Gratitude to him and all Spiritual Peacemakers.

Sixth on the list is Eckhart Tolle. He is famous for the “Power of Now” book published 1997. His teachings have blossomed since then and are well worth exploring. My favorite of his books is “A New Earth”.

Seventh on the list is Stephen Davis, Butterflies Are Free to Fly (free download online). Examines how quantum physics and recent scientific experiments are radically changing our understanding of life, our reality, and our spirituality. A mind blowing book! The part I like most is how it explores identity and who is the “I”.

Eighth on the list is Gary Renard. His books on ACIM (A Course in Miracles) are the best I have found. He explains the principles in a clear and easy to digest manner. There simply is no better teacher of ACIM, although I will mention Kenneth Wapnick who Gary calls the greatest teacher of ACIM ever.

Ninth on the list is The Law of One – 5 book series, The Teachings of Ra. These books are the product of L/L Research and abundant material is available on their website to explain it all. The books are free to download. I will not try to explain it and simply encourage you to read them and find the deep wisdom within.

Tenth on the list is ACIM (A Course in Miracles), the direct channelings of Jesus. This course is pure non-dualism and a bit much for many who are not ready to give up duality. If you feel you are, then by all means do this course and understand this is for the rest of your life! It is not a casual teaching which makes you feel good for a time. It will change your life for good, there is no going back.

Perhaps you will see a trend here as many of these authors teach ACIM to some degree. Know there is no One Truth above all else, there is only that which leads home! All paths lead home and the good news is you cannot fail. Some routes are more “scenic” than others though.

Blessings on your Journey of Love!

Human Nature

It is human nature to desire love and attention. As soon as we are born we become addicted to it. As cute little babies we get a lot of it too! If we don’t, then we cry. Often attention is necessary as a baby since we cannot talk, we need our diaper changed or we need food or we just need a hug. There is a reason for everything. A practical side to each story. Today we are going to look at human nature and how it relates to being transgender. As usual I will use ACIM (A Course In Miracles) principles as well as other spiritual teachings to explain this.

If it is not an expression of Love, then it is a cry for Love. One of the basic tenets of ACIM, this applies very well to being Transgender. So in every case, love is the answer. Simple, Yes? Easy? That is up to you. Understanding what Love is helps tremendously. My ebooks go into this extensively, so to find those, click here.

When looking at Transgender behavior it is easy to see the individual seeks attention. They are claiming to be different than the masses and expressing their “specialness”. ACIM teaches us the desire to be special is the ego or small self demanding attention. While we are all unique, none of us is “special”. Understand that Love is who you really are and this cannot be taken from you. The ego is our small self and the Love is our Large self or Spiritual being. Yes, Human Nature is made up of both. The ego is loud, demanding, and relentless. This seems to be pronounced for those who are transgender. To get a better understanding of ego, I suggest reading Eckhard Tolle’s book, “A New Earth”. Of course, ACIM is a required course so eventually you will be doing that as well. (Says so right on the first page of the book) There is no better explanation of human nature than what you will find in ACIM. Echhard and Gary are the best authors I have found to explain it. Moving on…

While our bodies are simply a vehicle we experience this world in, they must be taken seriously. The ego will not be ignored! So respect and explore your feelings. All the while remembering Love is all there really is. If it hurts or is painful you can be assured it is ego and not Truth. We each are expressing ourselves in every action we take – how we dress, what we say, and how we behave. Do what you will, it is all good. This means judge not! The ego world around us is temporary, it is in effect a dream, though it does not end when you die, it just starts over. The way out of this world is to Forgive, meaning non-judgment. It is also easier if one creates as little “karma” as possible, because what comes around goes around. If you harm another, you will be harmed. Not directly, but eventually.

To recap here, everyone desires love and attention without even realizing Love is who they are. The body is a vehicle for experiencing the ego world, in essence your body is your ego. Who you really are needs not changing for it is perfect like its creator and has nothing to do with the ego world. Do what you must in this ego world and all the while remember who you are! Love is all there is and this means You.

Imagine you are in a fun house of distorted mirrors. As you walk through you laugh at all the strange images and know all the time none of it is real. But this place is big! You can’t find your way out and you start to panic. Everywhere you look… strangeness and distortion. Take a deep breath… Forgive, remember it is unreal. This is just for fun, remember? Laugh. All is well. Now continue on your way and judge not what you see, what you think, and how you feel. Make it all ok and have fun. When you least expect it a door appears and you exit the fun house. You realize you were home all along. All really is well.

The Crying has Stopped

Attention! Ego calling.

This is our daily life because the ego is our interface to this world. Without it there would be no world. This however is not a bad thing since this world is illusion. Reality exists beyond space and time and has no thing to do with the world you see around you. For more on this please refer to ACIM (a course in miracles) and Law of One (the teachings of RA). I needed to lay a groundwork for this blog which will better explain my following insights.

I have been doing a lot of childhood and adolescent analysis of my life. It has become clear to me that most of my behavior was based on a need to be loved. I did not realize I was loved so much and thus my hypochondriac tendencies and later my transgender identity. Much of our behavior as human beings can be traced back to this separation idea on which life in time and space is based. The very concept of space and time are separation. Since the moment I was born I have been crying for attention, literally at first. Mom told me I cried for the first month after I was born and as it turned out I had a double hernia and had surgery to fix it. The two things I did a lot as a child is sleep and cry. I did not want to be here… in this illusion. Perhaps it could be called a nightmare. It was not always one though. I have wonderful memories too. The time I spent with family and in nature was usually very good. As time went on I observed how much my mother was loved by father, brother, and others. I craved what she had and perhaps this is where the seed of my transgender identity sprouted from. I wanted to be like Mom. Of course my crying was fairly effective and got me some attention. I was so insecure that I sucked my thumb till the age of 9 yrs old. The only way my parents could break me of this habit was to have a dental device implanted so that I got stuck by prongs if I put my thumb in my mouth. Wow. It is funny to even think of this now. How absurd life is. Why do I hang on so? False Fear would be my observation at this point.

What I have discovered is there is nothing to fear, it is just a dream and it is time to wake up. It is time to grow up and be the mature loving beings we are! I suspect this whole construct of Transgender and gender non-conformity is rooted in fear of not being loved. (Thus the “cure” is to Love …unconditionally) It is just one method the ego mind uses to make us feel special, to feel deserving of being loved. My work with the transgender community has shown me this need to be special trumps all others motivations. We all need Love. Or do we? ACIM teaches us that we are the Love we seek. That to look outside ourselves for it results in anxiety and depression. That search is futile! Why do we see so much anxiety and depression in the world? Because of this very idea that Love comes from others! It does not. There is no “other” but what is projected by the ego. We are One, means there is only one Mind, the Mind of God (use whatever label you prefer). The ego mind is splintered from this whole and according to ACIM has already been corrected. What we are experiencing is like a echo or memory of that which has already occurred. The only way out is through. This is my focus now – to keep moving forward! I know the truth now, I am not this body, I am free, I am just as God created me! What I have been and because I am still alive, am still witnessing, is this illusion called life. It is not good nor bad, it just is and will be till such time that it is not. Instead of getting, life is about giving that which one desires and in this process one gets what one needs. I no longer seek Love “out there”. I know it is who I am! The crying has stopped. And this is a good thing.
